Chapter 8: So Beautiful

*Crystal's POV*

We walked out the hut and I walked to the forest. "Ummmm, Crystal? The beach is that way."

"I know, just follow me." He followed me still confused, then we started up a mountain. Maui then asked, "Are we going up this mountain?"

"Yea, is that ok?" I was worried he wouldn't want to, then he gave me a smile and spoke.

"If there is any land animal you would want to ride, what would it be. Both dangerous and friendly?"

"Ummmm, I always heard of a horse but never seen one before. But why do you ask-" Just then he took his hook and swung it, a blue light glowing around him.

Just then there was no more of Maui, but a big animal I have never seen before. It was so big, I had to back away from it a bit, it was so intimidating.

"It's ok, this is a horse." I was so confused, did it just talk? Wait, that voice! It's was Maui!

"I didn't know you could change into any animals!! I thought just a hawk!"

"Nope! Any animal! Now climb on, it'll be an easier and faster way." I was hesitant at first, but he knelt down and I climb on, holding on for dear life.

We started to move and let me tell you! It was scary at first, but after about 10 minutes it was fun.

We finally got to the top and I slid off. Before he could turn back I ran to his face and touched him. "Horses are so beautiful. I wish we had some on Monutoai."

I stepped back and Maui turned back to normal. "Thank you for the ride, that was much easier than walking."

"Don't mention it." He responded with a smile and wink.

'Oh my gosh he's hot!'

We walked to see the view and the sun was almost about to set. We sat and gazed at the horizon.

I turned gaze to Maui, he looked so handsome just simply doing nothing.  His hair looked so smooth I wanted to touch it so bad. His chiseled body was such a sight. Every muscle was defined and all I wanted was to touch every inch of him. From head to toe.

Then his lips seemed so soft and  kissable and his eyes was the most beautiful brown staring right....back.... at... me.......wait what! Oh gosh he caught me checking him out!

He chuckled, "Like what you see?"

"OH MY GOD!!!!! SHUT UP MAUI!" I was so embarrased, I hid in my hair while probably blushing extremely hard.

"Hahaha, I'm just messing with ya."

I had to think of something quick. OH I GOT IT! "I just wanted to know how you get so many tattoos?"

"I earned them, every heroic deed I accomplished or a very important thing that has happened to me is formed into a tattoo."

"Awesome!" I looked at his tattoos and became saddened. Their was a girl on his chest next to the tattoo of him. I hid in my hair, tears threatening to spill.

"I didn't know you were married," I whispered.

"WHAT!?!?! I AM? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?" I looked at him confused. "Then who's that girl on your chest then?"

He gave me a "really?" look.

"What? She's someone special to you right?"

"Look at it again Crystal. Who boat does that belong to?" I looked at it once more.

"Wait! Is that Moana?" I asked.

"It sure is! Got it after we restore the heart." I felt so stupid, then something came in my mind. "Soooooo, you don't have someone in your life Maui?"

"Nope."

It became quiet for a while, I decided to drop the subject. I looked to the sunset as it began.

"Do you?"

I turned to him in disbelief. "ME!?!?! No no no! Nobody's interested in me. I don't have a lot of friends here. None of the girls like me and they started rumors about me to scare off the men..... That's the real reason why I live kind of isolated from everyone. Cause no one wants me."

*Maui's POV*

".......Cause no one wants me."
I turned to her, a bit, no a lot in disbelief. "That's not true Cryst, everyone is wanted-"

"My own parents abandoned me Maui!" she raised her voice and whip her face towards me. "I'm a loner Maui. The only ones that do associate with me are Moana, her parents, and the older generations of the villagers. No one that would want to marry me."

Tears were pouring down her face as she sobbed. My heart broke right then and there. I took her in my arms and rubbed her back to soothe her. Her cries died down to sniffles as she laid on my chest.

"I know how you feel. My parents took one look at me and threw me in the ocean. The gods found me and made me a demigod to help the mortals. I dedicated my life to giving the mortals all they wanted, even going as far as stealing the heart of Te Fiti. Even though I made them happy, it was never enough. And on top of that, I could never mingle with them cause I didn't fit in. Thinking my parents didn't want want me, why would anyone else. I thought I wasn't special."

"Maui, you're very special and not because you're a demigod or have powers. You have such a great heart, both brave and compassionate. That's why I was suprise that you said you didn't have anyone in your life. Any woman with commonsense would fall for a guy like you."

I looked at Crystal and gave her a genuine smiled. She was so wonderful and beautiful. Her long beautiful hair , her perfect curves, her delicate hands. And her eyes were so beautiful.

I took a glance at her lips and gazed back to eyes. Now I could see she was so broken on the inside. She needed comfort, she need love.....she needed me.

We looked back at the sunset and watched as it went down.

But no sight was as beautiful as the one in my arms.

She fell asleep and softly snore in my arms. I wouldn't dare wake her up, so I carried her down the mountain. It took a while, but the longer she was in my arms, the better. I made it to her hut a tucked her in.

I would feel horrible to leave her, so I sat on a chair. After a good half a hour watching such a beauty sleep, I dozed off.
