Chapter 16: The Festival

*The Next Week at Evening Time*

*Crystal's POV*

Today is the Harvest Festival and I can't wait to be with Maui. I went to Moana's hut so me, her, and Sina can help each other get ready.

It took us a while but at the end we looked presentable. Sina was escorted by Tui while a boy around Moana age came for her. I waited for Maui for a good while. He already knew he had to come for me. Then where is he?

Just then a shadow covered my view of the sun and transformed into my date for this evening.

"Maui. Where were you?" I asked with my hands on my hips. He copied my movement and raised his eyebrow.

"Do you live here Cryst?"

"Uhhh,no."

"Did you change location of where we were to meet?"

'Uh oh'

"Oh my goodness Maui! I totally wasn't aware that I was at the wrong location! I'm so sorry, I'm so stupid. Please forgive me Maui. I was so caught up with getting Moana and her mom together I totally forgo-"

My rambling was cut off by Maui throwing me over his shoulder. "Come on you sorry butt, we'll be late for the festival."

We arrived but the festivities had already begun. There was a huge bonfire and people laughing, dancing, eating! It was just amazing.

I seen Tui, Sina, and Moana dancing around having a good time. Sometimes I envy Moana's life, not because of the fame or her status. She has what I will never have....a family.

Sure they're like family but it's nothing like having your own. I was snapped out of my thought by other villagers greeting me and Maui. We said our hellos and joined the party.

*3 hours later*

I was so worn from the dancing and games I went to get something to eat. I sat next to Maui who, might I add, has a huge plate of food.

"Maui! All that food? I know you're a big guy but sheesh! That's ridiculous!"

He started to whine like a little boy. "I haven't ate all day and I'm hungryyyyyy!"

"Oh my goodness Maui, calm down. You're such a baby!"

After my statement he started to cough from his food. "Maui? Are you alrig-"

"Baby? I am NOT a baby!"

I got up, sat my plate on my chair, and stood in front of him with my arms crossed. He stopped eating when I gave him my "are you serious" face.

"Then how is it when you were sleeping last week and I was kissing your face, you grabbed me and held me like a teddy bear. And then it was the time you threw a tantrum when I gave Pua more attention than you 2 days ago. Oh! And may I add the time I saw you sucking on your thumb in your sleep?"

He gave me a look of disbelief, then gave me that mischievous smile I never liked. It always mean he's up to something.

"Maui why are you looking at me like that?"

With a smirked on his face he responded, "So, you kiss me in my sleep?"

'OH SHOOT!'

"Huh? No no no, it's not like that Maui. I just kiss your cheeks, that's all!" 'Oh god, I'm so busted!'

"So what you're saying is that when I'm sleep, YOU kiss ME when I'm sleep?"

"CAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE A BABY WHEN YOU'RE SLEEP!"

He playfully gasped in disbelief, "I DO NOT!"

"You do!"

"Do not!"

"Do to!"

"Do not!"

"Do to!"

"Ok that's it!"

It happened so quick, I didn't what was going on until I was on the ground being tickled.

"Nonono! Stooop-hahahaha! Maui no please stop-hahahahahahaaaa! I'm sorry!!!!!"

"Nope! Should of thought of that before you started teasing me," he said going from my sides to my feet, turning me into a laughing fit.

"Pleeeeeease Maui! I-I-Im about t-to pee myself! Hahahaha!!!!"

With that he stopped and went back to his chair and continued to eat. I stayed on the ground on my stomach, exhausted.

My hair was in my face and I mumbled, "I hate you."

"WHAT WAS THAT!?!?" Maui got up for another round, but before he could even approach me, I was already running for dear life.

I caught up to Moana and talked with her for a while. I was going back to Maui when I felt a tap on my shoulders.

I turnt around to see who it was and all I can think of was.....

'Oh man. This means trouble'
