Chapter 22: Gone

*Crystal's POV*

I was walking to gather some food with my basket in my hand. I gather a few things and watched as a few children played with each other.

'I wish I was a mom. I wonder what it be like if me and Maui had babies.' The thought made me put on a goofy smile and I continued on.

Just as I was making a turn, I bump into......Roctu? "Oh hey Roctu! How you been?"

"I'm alright...umm Crystal?"

"Yea?" He seemed nervous about something.

"Y-you know that girl down in the village that helps Moana teach the children how to dance? She usually one of the helpers when they pick blueberries."

"Oh, you mean Mary?"

"YEA! Umm, well I've kind of have a thing for her and I was wondering if you could help me out?"

"What you need me to do?"

"Find out her favorite flower, favorite color, favorite food. Everything!"

"My answer is ....no."

I could see his face look so discouraged.....man I'm so evil! I love doing this people!

I smiled at him, "I already know that stuff about her Roctu! She's a good friend of mine! Hehehehe, gotcha! Thought I wouldn't help, huh?!"

"Ugh! Cryst don't do that! You had me worried!"

I giggled at his immaturity, "Ok ok, sorry. I'll write down all her favorite things and I'll give them to you tomorrow, how's that-aahhhh!"

Next thing I know, I'm spun around by him. He put me down and out of excitement he kissed me.....on my cheek.

He hugged me as tight as possible,"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much Crystal!!!!!

I patted his back and me pulled apart. "No problem Rocky.....can I call you that?"

"Rocky? Wow, yes sure! I like it! So, what time tomorrow?"

I pondered on what time would be good,"Hmmmm, maybe around noon?"

"Sounds good to me! Bye Cryst!"

"Bye Rocky!" And with that we went our separate ways.

*An hour later*

I just got finished writing Rocky's list when Moana barged into my house.

"Moana! It's called knockin-"

"MAUI'S LEAVING!!!!"

I must have looked confused, so she answered my questioned face. "Maui's leaving Motunui!"

My heart just dropped. Why was Maui leaving!?!?!?

"WHAT!?!? He can't leave!!!!"
I ran out the door and bolted straight to his cave, with Moana right behind me.

"Cryst wait up!"

I wasn't listening to her, I ran as fast as I can. I finally approach his cave and entered.

"MAUI! Maui Where are you?!"

Silence.

"No!"

I ran to the beach, people giving me weird looks on my way there. I didn't care, I'm not letting him leave!

I arrived at the beach. He wasn't there either!

I ran up and down the whole island. He was no where to be found. I was so defeated. I trudged up the last and biggest mountain on the island. This is the last place to look.

I finally made it to the top and he was.......not there.
