ZAY

"Y'all go say hi to ya grandma" I told the kids as we entered the house

"GRANDMA!!" They yelled running to her

"Xavier!" Someone called

I looked around and it was mom

"Wassup ma" I said hugging her

"Why you crying?" I asked once I seen her face

"Kaliyah" she said

"What about her?" I asked confused

"She woke up this morning" she said

I was lost for words

"Mommy is up? Can I see her?" Malani asked

I tuned everyone out for moment

"Xavier?" My mom called

"Yeah" I said snapping back into reality

"Do you want to see her? She asked for you" she said

"Yeah come on" I said grabbing my keys and picking up Kingston.

I strapped him in and got in the car

"Zay, slow down, can you make sure all the kids in the car first?" My mom said

"Ma come on... my wife up and you asking me to slow down. The love of my life is up" I said happily

Once everyone was in I drove to the hospital.

We all got out the car and I rushed in the hospital.

"Can I help you?" The lady asked

"I'm here to see Kaliyah Brooks" I said

"Room 34B" she said

I walked to the room and stood in the doorway.

She looked the same just a little pale.

"Are you just gonna stand there?" She turned to me asking

I walked in and leaned down hugging her

Tears were streaming down my face

I was beyond happy to see Xavier and the kids.

" I love you" he said

"I love you too" I said kissing him

Kaiden, Malani, and Kingston sat on the bed next to me

"We missed you mommy" Kaiden said hugging me

"I missed y'all too" I said hugging them
