"Baby, you know my kids are coming over in a little bit" I said as Quan kissed my neck

"I know, when am I gonna meet them?" He asked

"When I feel like the time is right" I said keeping it short

Although I somewhat trusted and really liked Quan, I wanted to wait a little bit longer until he met my kids.

"Ok, call me tonight when you free" he said pecking my lips

"I will" I said

He left and I started cleaning the house a little bit.

30 mins later there was a knock on my door.

I opened it to Amber and my kids

"Uhhhh, what you doing with my kids?" I asked her

"I'm sorry, Xavier had got called in so he told me to bring them to you. I know you don't trust me around ya kids but your gonna have to get use to it" she said

I sighed

"Hey mom" they said

Malani walked past me with red eyes then Kaiden walked by carrying Kingston.

"Whats wrong with Malani?" I asked her

"Xavier said something to her but I'm not sure what he said" she told me

"Okay well thank you for dropping them off" I said closing the door

"Malani?" I said going upstairs to her room

"What's wrong?" I asked once I seen her sitting on the bed wiping her eyes

"Dad yelled at me today" she said

"For?" I asked

"He asked Ms. Amber to do my hair but I didn't want her to so I told him I didn't want her to, then he said it wasn't a question and I told him No, and he yelled at me" She said

I pulled her into me rubbing small circles on her back

"I'll talk to him, but did you have fun?" I asked her

"Yes, me and Ms. Amber made cookies and did each other's nails and our makeup and we watched a movie" she said

"Did you do anything with Dad?" I asked

I know Malani likes Amber, which is fine but I send her over there to spend time with her dad not his girlfriend.

"Yeah, we went to the water park and then got ice cream but he works a lot" she said

"Ok, well at least you had fun" I said kissing her forehead and walking out her room

I went to check on Kaiden

"You have fun?" I asked him

"Yup, Amber beat me in 2k and on call of duty." Kaiden said smiling

I smiled

I was glad the kids were okay with Amber.

"How was Kingston?" I asked

"He cried for Dad a lot but Amber held him until he went to sleep" he said

I rolled my eyes

Xavier can never spend time with his kids.

"Don't worry mom, no one could replace you" Kaiden said giving me a hug

"Thank you baby" I said hugging him back

I kissed Kingston on his forehead since he was sleep and left the room going downstairs.

As I was sitting on the couch I realized I didn't have many friends which would explain a lot.

I received a call from Deja

"Hey boooo" she said over the phone

"Hey" I said

"So, you know Xavier's Birthday is at the end of the week, and Amber is giving him a party at the club... you going?" She asked me

"No" I said

"Why? I know y'all not together or nothing but you don't wanna at least show your face?" She asked

"No, but tell him I said happy birthday" I said before hanging up

Xavier

"Baby, what's this?" Amber asked with a ring in her hand

"A ring" I said

"I know, but why do you have it?" She asked

I looked closer and it was Kaliyah's ring.

"Don't worry about it" I told her

I've had a thought of proposing to Amber but she mad annoying.

"It wasn't for me was it? It was Kaliyah's?" She asked

I nodded my head

She tossed the ring at me and rolled and her eyes slamming our bedroom door.

I shook my head

Just then my phone rang and I answered.

"Wassup" I answered

"If your gonna work all the time, then why do you always want the kids to come over?" Kaliyah asked

"I work so I can have money for them to spend" I said

"Really? Because Kaiden told me y'all don't really hang out. And Malani spends most of her time with Amber." She complained

"You jealous of Amber?" I asked her

"Xavier! Listen to what I'm saying. You don't have to be father of the year but don't be a father who was never around. I'm glad Malani has someone to do girly things with but
Your her Father and I send her over there for you. Just step up and do what the fuck your suppose to do" she said

"Is that Kaliyah?" Amber asked entering the room

I ignored her until she snatched the phone out my hand

"Did you know Xavier still has your ring? Are y'all still messing around?" Amber asked

"Bitch put Xavier on the damn phone" I heard Kaliyah say

"Answer my damn question" she said

"That's your man, why you asking me? If you trust him, then you wouldn't have to ask me shit. Now tell Xavier to call His kids. Thank you" Kaliyah said hanging up

Amber threw my phone at me

"Quit throwing my shit" I said

"Do you still love her?" Amber asked me

"Yes, but we're not gonna get back together" I said truthfully

She nodded her head and walked out the room.
