"You good?" Dijon asked me as I sat in the chair zoned out

"Yeah" I said

"You still thinking about that nigga? Didn't he leave you?" He asked

Ever since Zay asked for the ring back, I've been keeping to myself but he seems to be perfectly fine.

"You wouldn't understand Dijon... so just stop! 7 years, 3 kids, and the nigga wanted to end it! We've been through worse but I guess he couldn't take it anymore" I said speaking more to myself at the end

"I'm sorry... but you still going through with this plan of yours?" He asked

I thought about it for a cool minute

Finishing the job wouldn't do any more damage than what was already made.

"Yea" I said nodding my head

The kids were still staying with Simone... that was the neutral house for the kids.

I was staying at the old house and I wasn't sure where Xavier was staying but he is good because he hasn't called.

I got a text from Deja and it said

Deja💦👅- come over asap

I replied back to her then said bye to Dijon before leaving.

10 mins later I pulled up to Deja's and got out knocking on the door.

She opened the door smiling hard

"Why you smiling so hard?" I asked her

"I can't be happy to my best friend?" She asked

"I guess" I said as I walked in

She closed the door behind me

"Why y'all got so ma- Deja I know you didn't" I told her as I seen Xavier in the back talking with Chris and some other guys.

"Please don't leave... You don't have to talk to him" she said

"Deja, why did you really invite me over?" I asked her

"Because I want my power couple to get back together... I miss y'all bipolar asses together" She whined

"Well shit don't always work out" I told her walking away to leave

"We can do our own thing... we don't have to hang out with them" She shouted before I was able to leave

"Ok" I sighed

I didn't want to leave my bestfriend

She smiled and clapped her hands

She pulled me outside and the guys turned there heads towards us.

"Wassup Liyah" Chris and Marcus said

I gave them a small smile

Deja couched and looked at Xavier

He looked at her then me

"It's rude not to speak Xavier" Deja said

I eyed Deja

He continued to look at me

"I'm leaving" I told Deja walking back inside

"Kaliyah please don't... I understand y'all got issues but why you letting him get to you?" She asked following me

"Issues? It's way more than issues... he ended everything like it wasn't shit after he called me for a booty call what type of shit is that" I raised my voice

I wasn't mad at Deja but the way she said it got me mad.

"You need to lower your voice in my house Kaliyah... I understand you hurt but yelling at me ain't gonna fix shit" she said

Chris, Marcus, and Xavier peeked their heads in.

"Y'all nosey mannn" Deja dragged out

"Can y'all talk? Cause clearly she ain't over the shit" Deja asked Xavier

I looked at him

"Talk about what? Ain't shit to talk about" he said looking down at his phone

I rolled my eyes

"I'm done" I said leaving

I got in my car and drove off to pick up the kids.

"I wanna talk to y'all" I said as the kids sat on the couch

"What's wrong?" Kaiden asked

"So me and dad are not together anymore... which means we are going to stay in separate houses" I said breaking it down for them

"Your getting a divorce?" Malani asked

I nodded

"My friend went through the same thing and he said it sucks, because he knows his parents aren't happy and things won't be the same" Malani said

"Yeah and now all the kids at school are going to make fun of me because I won't have both my parents" Kaiden said

I sighed running my hands down my face.

"It does not suck Lani, and kids will not make fun of you... nothing is going to change... I want y'all to do what you do and don't worry about me and your dad." I told them

"So, dad is going back to Chicago?" Kaiden asked

"I'm not sure... when he gets you tomorrow night you can ask him everything you want to now okay? And this has nothing to do with y'all... this is just because me and dad are not getting along well" I told them

I didn't want my kids to think they were the cause of this separation.
