"Ms. Liyah?" Quentin called

"Yes" I answered

"Don't tell my dad I said this but he has a wife and I have a little brother" he said

"What?" I said confused

"My dad is married and I have an 8 month old brother, they live in this house but dad made them stay in a hotel while you were here. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner" he said looking down

"It's okay, go in the room with the other kids and don't come out" I said

He walked away into the room closing the door.

I went down the hall to the room and seen Quan sitting on the bed on the phone.

He looked at me and I walked over and snatched his phone throwing it on the ground.

"Your married? And you have another son?" I asked

"No. What the fuck is wrong with you?" He asked getting up

I backed away

"Your bitch ass lied to me. Your lucky, my kids are here because I would have killed you by now" I said

He grabbed me by my neck and pinned me against the wall

He started choking me and I was having trouble breathing.

I looked around for something and reached for the lamp on the nightstand.

I grabbed it and hit it against his head, knocking him out.

"Stupid ass" I mumbled

I packed my things then went to the kids room and got Their things together.

"Get in the car" I told them

"You know where your step mom stays?" I asked Quentin

He shook his head

"Any family?" I asked him

"yeah my cousin lives in New Orleans" he said

Once everyone was in the car I drove off and headed to the airport.

I picked up my phone and called Xavier.

"Wassup?" He answered

"I need you to get the kids from the airport at 10" I said

"What's going on?" He asked

"Just get them please" I said

"Liyah tell me what happened" he said

"I'll tell you later" I said hanging up

We all got onto the plane and waited for it to take off.

"Call Liyah now!" I told Deja

She grabbed her phone and it rung a few times before she picked up

"Hey girl" Kaliyah answered

"Hey, ummm...you wanna explain to me what's going on?" Deja asked

"Come help me with these bags and I will" she said hanging up

We both got out the car and helped her.

After everyone got in the car I drove the kids to my moms.

"Talk" Deja said

"Quan has a wife and another son in Spain. His oldest son told me about them. When I brought it up to Quan he went all crazy and chocked me so I knocked him out with a lamp and left" She said

"You just took his son?" I asked

"Yes! That nigga is crazy and Quentin seemed scared, so I took him with me. He has family in New Orleans that I need to contact but as for now he is staying with me" she said

"You do realize the nigga is gonna come looking for his son and you?" Deja asked

"I know, don't worry. Ill be fine" she said

"Fuck no! That nigga gonna have to go through me. Your staying in the house until further notice" I told her

"No I'm not. I got myself into this mess and I'll get myself out" she said

"No, because last time you needed me I wasn't there for you, and I'd be damned if something happens" I said

She looked at me

"Imma go wait in the car" Deja said grabbing the keys and walking out

"I'm not letting that nigga get near you." I said grabbing her hand

"Zay please don't worry about me. I know you weren't there for me and I forgave you for that. You won't be there every time I need you, and that's good because it makes it easier for me to let go of you" she said

She sound dumb asf

"So you expect me to sit around and watch some nigga hurt you? Kaliyah I love you too much to let that happen. I promised I wouldn't let anyone hurt you and I'm not breaking that promise. So you can tell me no all you want but I'm not
Listening. It's been us against the world ain't nothing stopping me now" I said

She leaned over and kissed me

"I love you too, but I don't know what I would do if something happened to you. Our kids need someone. They can't lose both or their parents" she said

"They won't" I told her

"Sorry to ruin y'all little moment but what's the plan, cause my trigger finger been itching for a while"

Liyah laughed

"I'm going to call Quan and have him think I'm giving him Quentin but instead I'll just kill him.
And if that don't work, y'all are gonna be hiding somewhere so you can kill him" she said
