"I think you should talk to him," Ava said taking a sip from her mug. The smell of steaming tea hit my nose. I hadn't even eaten yet due to how upset I was.

I looked at the clock I had to go in at twelve it was currently nine.

"Right now I have to get ready for work," I said getting up from the couch.

She got up following me in her ducky mo mo night shorts,"You two had one argument it couldn't have been that bad." It was really bad it's the first time he's ever told me the truth.

I leaned against the counter running my fingers through my hair,"He promised he wouldn't do this stupid shit anymore." I made it about the promise when it was more than that.

"So he broke your promise," she sat her mug down on the counter.

"Ava its more than just a promise I don't want him fuck up like I did" I blinked several times holding back tears. I didn't want him to throw away something he once worked so hard for.

"I know..." she walked around the island pulling me into a hug "I can tell you really love him." The reason I fell in love with Parker was because he was different. Now it's like watching the person I love most turn into the worst thing possible, the old me.

"Thanks" I mumbled returning her hug. I got dressed and so did Ava since she had a afternoon class. It was about ten and I decided to wear simple black slacks and a white dressy top. My job as a secretary for a small law firm in the downtown wasn't that bad. It was a nice area and they paid well.

I put my hair up into a messy bun applying a bit of lip stick. My job consisted of taking calls, booking appointments, keeping track of dates, and filing basic cases. It wasn't an easy job, but I didn't mind the busy schedule. I sat behind the desk doing my everyday tasks.

Parker walked through the door with a arm full of roses. Everyone stared at him as he approached the desk,"I love you Elliot Reed and I'm so sorry I hurt you." My bosses came out of their office to watch.

I smiled shaking my head,"This has to be the corniest thing you've ever done." He grinned,"Anything for you princess." I walked around the counter taking the roses from him,"You know I love roses."

"I know baby" he shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Am I forgiven for being stupid," I smiled for the show. "Yes, but only because my boss is watching and I can't curse you out here."

His smile fell I laughed wrapping my arms around his neck,"I love you Vince."

"Love you more princess," he kissed my forehead. After work I went home and laid in bed for hours thinking. I wiped the tears from my eyes staring up at the ceiling.
