The trip back home was very much needed at a time like this. It had been a week since all the drama had happened. I felt a strain in Elliot and I's relationship once again. I found it hard to trust her when shit like this happens.

I glanced over in the passengers seat at Elliot. She was staring silently out the window her head pressed against the glass. I sighed deeply staring back out at the open road. "Are you hungry?" I saw a exit sign a few miles back and we haven't eaten since this morning.

"Elliot"

She shifted in the seat,"I'm fine."

I decided to take the nearest exit we weren't that far from home. I pulled into the parking lot of the nearest restaurant. I unbuckled my seat belt looking over at Elliot. I didn't realize that she'd fallen asleep,"Babe."

I gently shook her,"Wake up we're at Apple Bees." She blinked a few times before yawning,"Sorry." She unbuckled her seat belt getting out the car. I watched her walk up the walk way,"Why are the odds always against us." I gripped the steering wheel then finally got out the car locking it.

We were seated in a booth opposite from a man his wife and baby. Elliot and I didn't exchange any words which was weird. She didn't hit on me or even ask for us to go see how sturdy the counter was in the women's restroom. I didn't like this one bit, but if it made her understand then oh well.

The waitress took our orders and that was that. I stared at her as she tried to avoid eye contact. "Talk to me" I said breaking the silence between us. She looked at me with every bit of emotion swimming in those deep brown eyes of hers.

"You never let me explain and now you wanna talk," the blank expression on her face turned into a broken one. She blinked several times,"I- I told you it wasn't how it seemed and you didn't want to l- listen." I reached for her across the table. She pulled away placing her hands in her lap.

"Parker you haven't touched me in a week," I shook my head.

"That's not true"

"You don't trust me" she cried "Just tell me you don't trust me."

I didn't say anything not able to look her in the eyes.

"Exactly"

I watched her get up from the table and walk through the restaurant. The waiter came with our food only seconds later. "I'll take everything in to go boxes and the check," I paid taking the food out in a bag.
