Stepping off the plane was honestly the most relieving action you've done in your life (even better than when, you know, going to pee after holding it in for a couple of hours). Just walking down the aisle made you feel better. Each step past numerous rows of seats took one bit more of the pressure off your shoulders.

You felt free in Busan.

Telling your parents you wanted out with this Seoul business thing was relatively easy. What was hard was telling them why.

Honestly... You regret having made the decision to tell them about the bullying. Now they felt like it was all their fault. Your mom, bless her, immediately agreed to whatever you wanted. Your dad, well, he wanted to report the situation to the damn school they now regretted choosing, and he definitely wouldn't have minded some physical confrontation with a particular student.

But you refused, not even disclosing the name of your bully after endless hours of your mom begging to know.

Yugyeom was your first friend at Seoul School of Literary and Arts.

Getting off the plane, one last shred of pressure still looped around your neck. And a rather thick shred, really, threatening to choke you from how bad you felt about not telling a best friend that you were leaving.

It had only been 4 months. Before you left, you deigned it unnecessary to inform the light of your life Jeon Jungkook about your moving. Your other friends, your other best friend Minah, were told only a week nefore your departure.

The first two weeks, Jungkook texted you and questioned you about not being at school, gradually getting worried and confused then downright malicious and beyond furious. But you still refused to reply to his texts or accept his calls.

There was that one time you couldn't resist and picked up a call on a particularly bad day after having paint dumped in your locker, courtesy of Yugyeom, just to hear his voice. But he hadn't said anything either, and you both just spent twenty minutes listening to each other breathe before he cut the call.

Right now, you were facing Minah's wrath first. She was at the arrival gate, still not very happy about only having a week to grieve over losing a friend to the Seoul girls. Apparently girls take these things a bit more seriously.
