"You're really sure oppa won't ignore me? Even after he marries Eunjeong-unnie and has squealing babies?"
"Well, maybe-" you started.
"Yes," Jungkook said decidedly.
Minah sighed, looking more resigned than you'd ever seen in your life (she was usually lazy, but never resigned, never could give up something she was trying to pursue). "Okay. I guess should let oppa date by now anyway."
You looked at Jungkook. He gave a small smile and shrugged. Turning to Minah again, you added, "Well, maybe you should apologize to Eunjeong-unnie as well."
There was an immediate negative reaction; Jungkook facepalmed and Minah growled.
"Don't push it too far. She's still trying to accept it," Jungkook said, "And Minah, you probably should at least say you didn't mean it. This is resolved now, right?"
Minah sighed, the fight going out of her once again. "Alright, alright, Jungkook."
You looked at Jungkook again. Oh well, not everyone can be good at comforting others. He shrugged.
"So what are you planning to do?" you asked, poking Minah a bit more to make sure she would forgive Taehyung and totally accept the fact that he was now dating and she wasn't going to be on her own even if that happened.
She looked exasperated and frustrated at the same time, just saying, "I don't know," and raking a hand through her hair. "I'm not prepared to let oppa go."
You rolled your eyes, with Jungkook doing it a little more discreetly, saying, "You know no matter how many girlfriends Taehyung-oppa gets, you'll still be the most important girl in his life, right?"
She nodded. "I guess."
She stood up, the plates and cups on the table already empty, and said, "I'm going to go and have some alone time. You two stay together and watch yourselves. As much as you guys like each other, I won't let you guys date until I get over this." She waggled a finger at the two of you.
This triggered a blush from the both of you, but Minah had already left before she could register it.
You glanced shyly up to Jungkook through your fingers, which you had brought up from your lap to cover your heated face. He was also avoiding looking at you, peeking up in nearly exactly the same way. His eyes were so big and dreamy, although currently they were a little wide and afraid from Minah's comment.
You were a little disappointed from his lack of actual reaction. But then again, you hadn't done anything either. So you got up as well (ignoring your blush), saying, "We should go home too. I bet Taehyung-oppa and Eunjeong-unnie left already," prepared to bolt out of the restaurant.
Your wrist was snagged by a warm hand. Pulling very, very slightly, but firmly. You swiveled around. It was Jungkook.
"We're best friends, right?"
