Stepping into the luxurious hotel I paced up to the front desk to ask where my room is, in which some one then escorts me to it. 'Thankyou' I tell them before putting my key card into the door until it goes green. I enter almost pleasantly shocked, Simon booked me a suite an expensive one to be exact, I only asked for a small standard room, the cheapest available. I think he did exactly the opposite of that, but I'm not complaining, I rarely travel expensively as I don't see the point to waste money, it's just a bed after all. After I had a shower and watched some tv I sunk into the bed under the covers before falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning the sun was shining through the window from where I left the curtain slightly parted, I yawned and stretched slowly waking up and rubbing my eyes to see the time. It's 7:30am, I'm glad I don't have to commute far today for work, so I make my way down to the hotel lobby for breakfast. I grabbed some cereal and looked around for a table however they were all occupied. I saw Simon sat at a table, he looked up and waved me over. Once sitting down I could hear Louis saying that the new judge is already here now and will be on set today. I turned and looked at Simon after finishing my breakfast and whispered "thanks for the suite but how come you did that?"
He grinned at me. "Well your doing me a massive favour I thought I could at least make your stay more comfy, plus you're on the same floor as judges and I, I can keep a close eye on you that way".
I just laughed at him, he's always liked to protect me, that's one of the qualities I always admired about him, no one else ever really bothered with me but I liked it that way. Simon got up and ushered me out and said I could join him in his taxi to go to work, the ride was pretty boring it just consisted of him making business calls and me writing in my book. I've had a bit of writers block for a while, but I'm trying to fix that. We pulled into the studios with loads of fans screaming outside which shocked me, apparently they were here for the new judge and caught wind of where we were filming. "So have you happened to meet any one yet? Any girl on the scene?"
Simon knew what the answer would be, I think he gets a kick out of trying to wind me up.
"No when has there ever been anyone".
"I could set you up on a couple of dates?"
"Not since the last time, I'm not interested in dating your snobby famous friends". He looked at me amused.
" I guess you got me there, they're not all that bad though, you might surprise your self one day and come out to the world". I didn't like the idea of exposing myself like that and feeling vulnerable, the person forcing me to do that would have to be a big exception.I stood in the hall way chatting to Simon and a few other people I had been introduced too. Today I was wearing a grey hoody to be comfortable and black high wasted jeans, my hair was down and wavy. I looked down at the ground thinking to myself as Simon conversed next to me with a producer, I suddenly felt someones eyes boring into mine. I looked up slowly to see these piercing oceanic greens eyes observing me. Her pro longed gaze was almost like she was trying to peer into my soul, but it was like I was the only person in the world and all she saw was me, raising an eye brow she then shook her head and looked down almost like she could read my mind. I looked away embarrassed, blushing profusely that I had held eye contact for what felt like hours but in reality it was just a few mere seconds. After looking back up, I brushed it off and carried on with my day.
I walked into the auditorium to see Harry shout me over "good morning Camila, can you come and help me with something?" I put my stuff down in the booth and walked over to him, where he stood on the stage fixing some mics.
"Sure Harry".
"So are you staying a the Hilton as well? I moved my stuff into there last night I'm on the 5th floor" we had to talk a bit louder than usual with all the hustle and bustle in the building.
"Yes I'm staying there too, I'm on the 10th floor". Harry looked at me shocked like I knew something he didn't.
"Who did you sleep with to get a suite huh?"
I chuckled to myself, if only he knew the truth.
"Simon is like a father figure, he wanted to shower me with luxury because I'm helping him out, although I did just ask for the cheapest room".
He looked at me confused. "I didn't know you knew Simon that's pretty cool".
"Yeah I guess so haha, so is it the same crew as it has been the years previous? I don't know much about this show to be honest so feel free to fill me in..."
I changed the subject as quickly as possible. We were fixing long cables and wire as we talked and got to know each other better.
"I mean most of the people are the same, the only major difference is there's a new judge, and they like to play around with the format of the show so this year there will be an audience for the auditions".
"Ah that's fair enough I guess".
The day was soon over and before I knew it I was back at the hotel, I hadn't seen the green eyed girl since this morning, I had wondered what job she may have had but didn't think much into it. I strolled into the hotel lobby and into the elevator, just as the doors were about to shut a hand came in between the door, this startled me. My eyes wide open I looked up and saw her.
