Sound

I woke the next morning very early, after my shower and breakfast. Sitting down on the sofa, my phone went off, I had received a text off Simon.
Simon: Hey Camila, just checking in on you come down to my room and see me.
I got up and left my room and strolled down to Simon's, I still felt a little panicked after everything that had happened looking behind me constantly for any signs of danger. Knocking on Simon's door, he soon appeared.
"Hi Camila, come in how are you?"
I walked through the doors into a lavish suite much like my own.
"I'm doing okay considering you?". He gestured for me to sit down opposite him. "Good, I'm glad, do you think you are ready to come back to work?".
I looked up at him thinking. "I guess so, it's more going back to the place that it happened". He gave me a sincere look.
"I'll be there with you and so will security, I know you never told me but thank you for what you did for Lauren".
Hearing her name I perked up.
"You've seen her?" I asked straight away, I was so desperate to know the smallest piece of information of how she felt.
He picked his words carefully. "She's okay, just a little shaken up and made sure to mention that you saved her".
"Does everyone know?" I was worried that I would be the gossip, which would be a night mare for trying to keep a low profile.
"No I told her not to really mention anything to anyone, trust and all".
"Did she say anything else about me?"
I think I sounded a bit to eager and he picked up on it.
"I thought you didn't crush or anything?".
I had to tread carefully here, yes she intrigued me but who knows, I hardly know the girl.
"I don't, I was just wondering, since she left pretty abruptly".
He raised his eye brow at me.
"No she didn't say much about anything, she's a bit like you, I have to figure her out through body language".

I left the conversation as it was not wanting to press anymore, that would look to suspicious. I would just have to wait and see her at auditions.
The day went by pretty quickly I ran errands then went to bed early to start the day all over again.

Waking the next morning, the sun was shining, maybe today was going to a great day I thought. I was in my shorts and a small crop top, I heard a faint knock and went to the door. I opened it seeing Simon. "Come on get dressed we have auditions to finish, we need you".
"Good morning to you too".
I walked off into my room while he waited for me to get ready.
Simon looked me over from head to toe. "You could at least do you hair nice, since you'll be seeing Lauren today, good impression and all".
I rolled my eyes at him but was secretly happy I would get to see her and make sure she was okay.
We got a taxi together arriving at the studios sharply, I exited the car hearing screams from fans outside the gates, I looked to where they were all looking and saw a glimpse of Lauren. I stopped with my mouth gaping, just frozen, Simon literally had to pull me in his direction and bring me back into this world. "Camila are you gonna be okay today? I can cancel your sound work?".
I breathed deeply. " no I'm okay, don't cancel it".
He just smiled and said he would see me later on. I walked down the corridor  into the auditorium, spotting Harry at the sound desk. "Hey Camila, how are you?". He smiled.
"I'm good thanks and you?"I started working, I'm good at multi tasking.
"Yeah you know not bad, he some of us are going out tonight if you want to join, kind of unofficial but there's a lot of us going".
I had to think, I didn't want to say no because I didn't want to be an introvert but at the same time I was nervous to go out with them all.
"Yeah sure, I'll come out for a bit can't promise it will be all night".
"Great I can't wait, would you mind going to the stage and checking everything".
I just nodded and walked off up onto the stage, after checking everything the doors opened for the audience to be let in. It was our last set of auditions in Manchester before we travelled back down to London. After checking everything on the stage I walked to the sound desk as it was getting pretty crowded in here. Harry tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around. "Would you go and mic up the judges in the dressing rooms I mean I would but I don't have time".
I had no choice but too there wasn't anyone who could. "Yeah sure".
"Good they are all in separate dressing rooms so just go one by one there is plenty of time".
I walked off and knocked on the first door seeing Louise and Sharon, I did there mic's and made my way to Simon's room. "Fancy seeing you here". He said. I just chuckled.
"Lucky you, right stand still so I can do this quickly".
He eyed me up, suggestively.
"Is that so you can spend more time in Lauren's dressing room".
I just shook my head at him.
"No just stop already!". He looked a taken back, like he was thinking deeply, neither of us said any more we just made small talk. I left his dressing room and made my way to Lauren's suddenly dreading the close proximity we would have, I took deep breaths and soon found my self out side of her dressing room, talking to myself to get the courage to knock on the door.
