Aphmau's POV

*Play Song*

The lights flicker slightly, making me jump.

I get scared by anything...I mean ANYTHING.

I'm sitting on the couch, stuffing my face in a large bowl of buttered popcorn, waiting for Aaron to get home.

Everyone was either at their jobs or busy doing something.

Lilth was over at Maya's house.

My eyes continue to glue to the television.

I was watching anime, of course.

I remember those nights when all Aaron and I would do was binge.

It was one of the joyful things that I can remember during that time.

That was in the past....

Look at the now...

And the future...

I hear the door slam open, sending air, fast through the air.

"Katelyn.....next time knock...." I say from the couch, my eyes not even leaving the television.

I could tell it was her, or Garroth.

One or the other...

"I don't KNOCK Aphmau.." Katelyn says, emphasizing the knock.

"Okay, whats up? I thought you were with Travis..." She cuts me off.

"Aphmau....you need to come now....its Aaron..."

That catches my attention.

I follow Katelyn to Eric's minivan.

As we drive, my heart starts racing.

My breaths become short.

What happened?

My worried mind becomes confused, as we enter the scene of our old elementary school.

Where Lilth goes to, where Aaron and I met.

It was Saturday so no one was there.

It was about sunset, the sky swirling with pink and orange.

Along the pathway up to the school, were what looked to be thousands of lit candles, smelling of my favorite flower.

Lavender.

My sharp breaths replace with ones in awe.

My rapid beating heart slowed.

I turned to Katelyn, she just smiled and gestured me to go into the school.

I get out of the car, my eyes not leaving the scene before me.

I walk slowly along the path, the candles flickering against the slight wind.

The sun was setting slowly, pulling down the light with it.

The candles replaced the light.

I entered the building, the count of the candles not diminishing as I walked.

At the end of the hall, on the floor, a very memorable floor, lay a pencil.

It had something wrapped around it.

I walked down the hall, my steps echoing through the still air.

The smell of lavender wrapping me in a blanket of pleasure.

I walked up to the pencil, picked it up and noticed the object wrapped around it, was a ring.

A freaking three carat ring.

My jaw falls.

My thoughts are interrupted by an amazing voice.

"Are you okay?" He asks, like he did those many years before.

"Never better" I respond, rubbing my thumb up the pencil.

He gently takes the pencil from me, sliding off the ring,  and kneels down, giving me his usual smile.

"Aphmau, from the moment I saw you, I had already fallen in love with you."

I smile, small tears of joy creeping down my cheeks.

"After meeting you, I think about how my life was without you, it wasn't complete"

"You complete me."

"I do not go a minute, without guilt for the pain I have caused you...."

"So I will spend every second that I'm breathing, into making you happy..."

"I promise to love Lilth and the baby, even Sylvana"

"And I promise to love you, now and forever"

I cover my mouth with my palm, not able to comprehend what was happening.

"Aphmau Shu Phoenix, Will you marry me?" He asks.

"Yes.." I say without hesitation.

We collapse into a kiss, the lavender surrounding us.

Of all the decisions in the world, the difficulty of each,

This was one of the easiest.

Have a nice day my crystals!
