Aphmau's POV
*Play Song*
The doorbell rings.
Alina goes out of control again.
Sigh
Aaron stirs a bit.
I power walk over to the door and open it.
My jaw drops.
"...Mom....." I manage out.
"MIJA!" Mom screams.
I swear I was having a heart attack.
Katelyn just gave me a 'sorry look'.
I gave her the death eye, then smile back at my mom.
After we all became comfortable, I heard steps on the staircase.
Oh
Crap
AARON
I reluctantly look behind me to see Aaron widen his eyes, then run back up the stairs.
"Aphmau.....that wasn't Aaron, was that?" She asks calmly.
She was the calm, before the storm.
"Whaaaaat?" I ask, yawning.
I see Aaron coming down, wincing every step, but holding Alina to his chest.
He shuffled over to Mom, gently placing Alina in her arms, then he hid behind me.
Mom went.....baby crazy?
"awwwwwwwww" She squeals, grazing Alina's little fingers with her own.
Both Aaron and I plop on the couch, letting out a big sigh.
"Who's baby is this?" Mom asks, expectantly, not taking her eyes off Alina.
Aaron and I held our breath again, giving each other paranoid looks.
"Mine" Katelyn says, making a cringe worthy face after.
I turn to look at her, she just nods.
"WHAT?! TRAVIS?!" Eric screams.
"No Eric, Alina is Aaron and I's daughter" I say turning to Mom, Aaron got ready to run.
"Wh...what?" Mom stutters, looking up from Alina.
"Yes Mom, this is Alina." I say, my voice cracking with stress.
"Aaron?" She asks, calmly.
We were still waiting for her to go T-Rex mode.
Aaron started to stand, lightly groaning as he rose.
"No Aaron sit." I command. He plops back down, raising his eyebrow.
"Mom, yes Alina is our daughter, and yes Aaron is her father, you are going to have to deal with it because I love them both" I state.
She opens her mouth to speak, but I stop her.
"He was there, when you were on year round business trips, he was there, when I had a brain tumor. You know why he is wincing, its because he took a bullet for me! A bullet!" I shout.
Mom just looked back down at Alina.
"When the doctors gave up on bringing me back to life, gave up on reviving me, he told them to keep going" I say, my voice breaking.
Aaron grabs my hand.
Mom just keeps looking at Alina.
"He makes me happy, so stop this nonsense with Aaron! I have nearly died a few times. I have learned the value of what it means to be here, right now. Life is short, don't waste it hating the love of my life" I say, holding back sobs.
I run out of room, covering my sobbing mouth with my palm.
I sprint out of the house, I cross the street, not looking.
I run into the first house I saw, I swing the door open, then close it behind me.
I lean against the close door, tears streaming down my cheeks.
I slide down the door slowly, resting on my butt.
"Katelyn?" I hear Travis call, peeking his head into view.
"No" I respond hoarse.
"Aphmau? What are you doing here?" He asks, walking over to me.
"Hiding from Mom, you?" I ask, wiping my tears away with my thumb.
"This is my house, and hiding from Eric." He responds, taking a seat next to me.
"Why are you hiding?" He questions, noticing my wet cheeks.
"I kinda went psycho on my Mom about Aaron" I respond.
"Why?"
"I just want them to get along.....thats all I want" I say, my voice breaking again.
"..Aphmau.." I feel him pull me into a hug, as I cry into his shirt.
He pulls me over away from the door, rubbing my arm reassuringly.
I heard the door slowly open.
I feel Travis look up, he seemed to be having a silent conversation with whoever was at the door.
I heard whoever who was at the door slide down on my other side.
I heard them wince every inch they slid.
Aaron
Travis takes his arms off me and transitions me over to him.
I rest my head on his chest, trying to stop my sobs.
"I'm sorry Aph......I will try...okay I will try.." Aaron says, resting his chin on my scalp.
Its not you who I want to try Aaron.
Have a nice day my crystals!
