Chapter 5- Lost Somewhere

Alec's POV

"Camille has a son?" I ask and she nods. I look at Magnus wondering if Henry is his. Magnus looks over at me and shakes his head. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, Magnus and I only have 5 kids. Maxwell named after my deceased little brother, Rafael, Madzie, Amethysts and Phoenix. Of course I wouldn't mind another one but not right now.

"Follow me, we have to find Isabelle before Henry gets back to the Hotel Dumort. And before you ask, he's out... Hunting" Angel says before walking into the portal. I look at Magnus, "You'll still follow even if I ask you to stay won't you?" I ask and he nods, I sigh and pull him towards me.

I kiss him softly and he kisses back. After a minute we break apart and I go on ahead into the portal. Magnus Clary and Jace follow leaving Simon behind seeing as he's prone to being kidnapped and his vampire powers have been reduced.

We arrive in seconds and find Angel waiting for us. She snickers and turns to walk ahead. "This way hurry he'll be back in an hour" She says and Magnus sighs following her, I want to reach out to him but he's hurting to much. Just like myself. It hurt's to see him in pain.

I adjust my weapons as I follw them. After about 10 minutes we walk into a dungeon with cells. We stand there for a moment before hearing small voices and one large voice.

"I'm scared... And hungry, where's papa and daddy? Nix? Nix wake up don't die! Aunty what do we do?" Says a small voice "It's Amee!" I say walkibg towards the crying sounds. "Don't worry- Whose there? Show your self" Izzy's voice says, I turn on the lights and walk in front of their cell.

I look in to see my sister and children hurt and dirty. I look over at Nix who seems to be unconscious. "Daddy?!" Amee says in a gentle but scared vouce and I nod feeling hurt to see her in pain and fear, she gasps and runs toward me she stops at the bars of the cell and looks out at us. I look around for a key but end up breaking the lock itself with my bear hands.

I rush inside and pick her up hugging her tightly. I hear Magnus and the others walk in. I hand Amee to Magnus and he embraces her. I look at Nix and Pick him up I kiss his head and Hand him over to Magnus as well. I then help Izzy to stand and start to look for an exit.

Seeing as there isn't one but the way we came we sneak outside to the roof without beinf noticed which lets Angel And Magnud conjure up the portal back to the institue.

"Where do you think your going?!" Calls a male voice from behind us. Suddenly Angel shoves us towards the portal,

"Go it's just Henry he'll die before letting you get away so run while you can. Go now!!" She screams at us and shoves us harder, Knowing Magnus would never forgive him self for letting something happen to her at the last second I pull her into the portal with us causing Henry to scream with rage.

"I swear I'll get my revenge on you all I swear it and you Angel your traitor you'll die. I'll never forgive you!!" Henry screams and then he's gone and so are we. Magnus rushes Amee and Nix to the infirmary and I follow with Izzy and everyone else on our heels.

Once we arrive Amee bursts into tears. I gather her up in my arms and cradle her, rocking her gently after a little while she calms down.

"Amee what happened baby? Tell me don't be scared no ones ever going to hurt you again as long as I live. I promise" I say softly and she sniffs. She stays silent for a while before deciding to speak.

"Is Nix Okay?" She says in a trembling voice. And I nod "He's okay now baby. He's lovely little Nix again getting healthy and strong, just like you. Now Amee talk to me, tell us what happened okay?" I ask her and she nods. She slowly takes a breath and then begins.

"Ok so this bad man broke into Aunty Izzy's room here and knocked us out with his fist like you do with Uncle Jace daddy and then he said something about Papa and getting reven-re-reve-" She struggles with the word "Revenge?" Clary says helping her and Amee nods

"Yeah revenge. He said he was gonna hurt papa for taking away his mommy and Aunty Izzy fell asleep and then Nix and then Aunty Clary and Uncle Simon came in and he knocked them out to and then I fell asleep to.

But when I woke up the bad dude was hurting Nix so I bit him and he threw me against the wall and then Aunty Izzy took us behind her back and said some stuff. That got the bad dude mad. He said she was gonna pay for saying anything to him.

And started hitting her and then all of us and he also didn't give us food or let us be clean. He came in alot and hurt Nix cause Nix was stopping him from hurting me and Aunty Izzy so when he finally hurt Nix enough he took Aunty away and I could hear her screams and the dude laughing. She came back and after a while you found us" Amee says and looks down

"I tried to protect Nix. I also tried to heal him but I wasn't feeling good and Aunt Izzy couldn't cause she wasn't either and she said she was to weak and without a steele. I really tried to help them but I couldn't..... I'm sorry!!!!" She screams and starts to cry we jump and Magnus and I hug her.

She's been through alot in so little time. I'll kill him for this. I look at Nix and feel my heart break fast and painfully. My babies, my sister. Their hurt cause I wasn't there to protect them. I feel my fist clench and I hand her over to Magnus.

I storm out of the room and straight into my old one. I stand still and after a minute I'm standing in broken glass and flipped tables and the bed is broken along with some holes in the walls. I drop down to my knees and cover my face. Suddenly someone walks in and helps me up.

"Alec" Clary's voice says and I look down, "Alec this isn't your fault" She tells me and sits me down on the bed, Jace walks in and stands next to me. "Alec.. Trust me this wasnt your fault. Don't blame your self brother" She says and Jace nods putting a hand on my shoulder.

I can't bring my self to watch them clean up or look anywhere but the floor. I failed... Again. I look down at my at my hands. Will I keep failing?
