Chapter 24- Finally Going Home

*4 Years Later*

Magnus's POV

I run towards Alec happily as we rush to pick up our family. It's been 4 long years. We were at war with other Shadowhunters and Downworlders.

We portalled to Idris and our kids and grandkids are waiting for us. We haven't seen them in 4 years. Our grandkids are three years old now. The twins are 14, Madzie and Max are in their 20s and Rafael is about 29 and so is Luna. We rush towards the school.

Once we get there we spot Amethyst first. She's standing alone looking at a tree. I smile at the sight of her. My little girl is all grown up. I look behind me to see her surprise walking behind us.

Brian. He never gave up. He was so brave and determined to bring her back. He's one of the reasons why it's okay to bring her and the other back.

He smiles at me and I smile back. I suddenly hear arguing and turn back to look at Amethyst who is arguing with some boy.

We stop and watch.

"Come on, you know your little boyfriend is dead by now. Come be with me" He says and Amethyst glares.

"Brian is not my boyfriend! And he is alive and even if he wasn't I still wouldn't date the likes of you! Now leave me alone!" She tells him and he glares back at her. She turns to walk away but he grabs her and tries to kiss her.

She cuts his face with a blade and he screams blood pouring down his face.

"I'm Brian's and Brian's alone. I will wait for him. Not you. My family is coming back and you sir will never touch me again unless you want me to cut something much more valuble. I don't think you'd like that very much. So leave me the fuck alone!" She says and kicks him in the balls. Once she's done she walks away back into the building.

We follow after her. I look at Brian who's beaming with happiness. If he was having doubts before, hearing that just now blew them all away.

We reach the doors and enter the lobby. Suddenly Alec and I are on the floor with 2 pairs of arms around us.

"Papa! Dad! We missed you so much!" Madzies voice rings out. I look up at her.

"Sweet Pea! You're okay! You've grown up so much since we last saw you!" I say hugging her, she hugs back and I smile, I missed her so much my little girl.

She let's go and switches with Max.

"Papa we missed you guys so much. I'm glad you're back" He says hugging me tightly.

We hear footsteps come towards us and hear a voice calls out.

"Did someone say Daddy and Papa?!" Amethyst says coming around the corner with Phoenix. Once she spots us she stops. Her eyes widen and fill with tears, Phoenix walks past her and into Alec and I's arms. We hold him tightly.

"I knew you'd come get us. I never stopped believing that you would" He says and I kiss his head.

"Of course Phoenix, we could never forget you guys or leave you guys behind. We told you it was for your own safety. And now the world is safe again and you guys can come home" Alec says to him. Phoenix pulls away and we look at Amethyst. She slowly makes her way over and for a moment she stares at us.

I open my arms and she falls into them hugging me tightly. "You let me go Papa" She says and I shed a tear.

"I know sweetie but believe me, it broke our hearts to see you all leave and especially the way you left. I heard those screams for months after we sent you away. But now it's time to finally go home" I say to her, she nods and turns to Alec. He gives her a long hug as well and smiles.
