Chapter 8- The Fears Come Forth

Alec's POV
I look around at the chaos and see blood and bodies every where. I look for my family and friends. I don't see them. I rush out of thwle room I'm in and speef off to find them, eventually I find Jace fighting a demon with a pregnant Clary at his side. My heart eases a little. I rush off again looking for the others. I spot Simon fighting with Luke and Izzy and my heart eases again.

I spot my mother fighting besides Lydia and once more my heart lifts and I rush off to find Magnus and our children. I look in their rooms, fighting off demons at the same time. After a while I reach Amee's room. It's quiet. I open the door and see the room's been destroyed.

My heart begins to shatter before I notice the blood. Once I do notice it I feel the panic start to kick in. I rush out and search for her. But all I find thank the angel is an unharmed Rafael. I grab him and hug him. He hugs back and cries on my shoulder.

I rub his back and tell him it's okay. He holds on to me tightly. "Where are your brothers? And Your sisters? Where's papa Rafael? Have you seen them?" I ask him holding on to him. He shakes his head. "Not since the attack in Amees room, I got seperated from them" He tells me.

My heart falls and I pick him up. Holding him tightly against me I rush off again looking for the others. I feel Rafael shaking against me. I try holding back the tears and for now it works.

After a while I reach my old room amd hear yelling. I put Rafael down next to tbe door and tell to shush. He stands quietly and waits. I slam the door open to find Amee and Madzie cornered by two shax demons. I take out my bow and quivers and shoot them. They explode and Madzie runs to me.

"I'm so glad your okay. Have you seen the others?" I ask now hugging both her and Amethyst and she shakes her head.

Walking out with them in my arms I reach for Rafael's hand and he holds mine. They look relived that the other is okay. But there's still fear with the unknown fate of Magnus and the others. We run around and finally find them.

Magnus protecting Max and Phoenix from a rogue vamp and a forsaken plus a shax demon and loosing energy fast. I hide the other three and rush over to him.

His shield starts to fail and tbe shax demon hopes over. Max screams I shoot the vamp and the forsaken for a second I thought I had kept everyone safe but suddenly Magnus screams and Max and Phoenix are thrown across the room.

I turn to find Magnus laying on the floor bleeding. The shax demon stops for a second and I kill it. Once it's gone I fall on my knees with Magnus. He looks up at me.

"Alec.. I love you. Take care of them" He tells me holding my hand. I let my tears flow. "No don't say say that. I love you to. But we are both going to take care of them. Don't leave me. I love you so much. Please" I say and he smiles at me. I lean down and kiss him. He kisses back and suddenly coughs up blood. He covers his mouth with his hand and then stares at the blood.

"I love you Alexander. Tell the others as well. I love you. Take care of your self.." He says and suddenly he's gone. I scream in pain and hold on to his body.

"AAAAHHH" I scream and sit up. I feel my body is covered in sweat. I look around and notice Magnus is sitting across from me. He looks at me worried and I pull him towards me. I hug him tightly and he hugs back.

"It was so real. Thank god it was just a nightmare. Oh my god. Your okay. Your alive. Your sill here" I say into his shoulder. He rubs my back. "It's okay Alec. I'm fine your okay my love. Don't worry I'm not going anywhere. Come lets go to the living room I'll make you some hot chocolate. Bring the blanket" Magnus says smoothing my hair.

I nod and together we walk into the living room. I sit on the couch as he makes the hot drink. He brings it over and I finish it in seconds.

I lay my head down on his lap and he smooths my hair back amd before I know it he's singing.

He ends it softly and kisses my head. I run my thumb along his leg and he rubs my back. We sit in silence a nice silence. "I love you Alec" Magnus says and I smile slightly, "I love you to Magnus"

He laughs gently and covers me with the blanket. "Go on back to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up" Magnus says. I lay there wrapped up on him. Soon we both fall asleep.
