Chapter 25: Small Sit:

¤ It's more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words, but rather, short, easy words, like,"What about lunch?" ¤

I chuckled as I typed back a reply, ¤ Did you just quote Winnie The Pooh so we could meet up? ¤

Alex and I were sending texts back and forth like usual, when he asked me for lunch. I didn't have work that day so I was free to go.

¤ Yes, I did. Is that a yes? Small Sit at 2?¤

¤ I'll be there =P But for the meantime I got to go, I'm meeting your sister ¤

¤ My sister? ¤

¤ Yes, you have a sister ¤

¤ You don't say =0  I was just shocked, didn't see that one coming ¤

¤ I got to go =P See ya ¤

"His name is Charles, high school bad-ass, I was blinded by his looks or whatever it was and fell for him," Leah sighed.

She and I agreed to meet in the park, to talk, so there we were, sitting on a bench, talking about her ex, the guy who hit her. I was relieved that she easily got out of their relationship, it could have been much worse.

"Did you ever tell Alex? Or Ben? Your dad, mum?" I asked her.

How's Ben, by the way?

"I didn't have the courage, I didn't want to make it big. Besides, I was able to end it, so..." she told me.

"And how are you dealing with all of it...?" I asked.

"I'm fine, I think, I don't know, I just... I thought he was different, I thought I could fix him," she said sadly.

"You know, when in a relationship, you can't put in your mind that you're going to change the other person, it doesn't work that way," I sighed.

Guess it didn't work for both of us.

"I'm guessing you're speaking from an experience," she commented.

"Kinda," I nodded, "How's Ben, by the way?"

"He's doing fine, back to being a pain in the ass," she smiled, "How's Drew?"

Ugh. Drew.
