Pokémon Heroes of Hoenn

Courage

"What?" Green blurted out in confusion.
"Of course! Rayquaza is the only one strong enough to stop Kyogre and Groudon!!" I exclaimed knowingly.
"But where are we supposed to find it?" Leaf questioned.
"Beats me..." Sapphire murmured.
"But we have to find it! We don't have a choice!" Emerald exclaimed combatively.
"What're you guys talking about? What's a Rayquaza?" Blue asked.
"Rayquaza is the third Legendary Pokémon with ties to the history of Hoenn. Legend says that it lives at the very top of Sky Pillar." an intervening voice stated.
We jolted around to spot a man in strange white clothing behind us, his greenish blue hair swept to one side underneath his white hat.
"Who are you?" I asked distrustfully.
"My name is Wallace. We can get into that afterwards though. For now, we must focus on finding Rayquaza. Sorry to interrupt like this, but I can help you find it, and I'm sure that will be of use to you and everyone else." Wallace stated calmly.
"Well, if you can help us, I'm all in. What's the plan?" Emerald asked, taking a step towards Wallace as she spoke.
"For starters, Kyogre and Groudon are powerful Pokémon, so most of you should stay her to fend them off as best you can. A small group of you can come with me to Sky Pillar to ask Rayquaza for its help." Wallace suggested.
"Alright then. Ruby, Sapphire, I think you guys should stay here. You too, Leaf. I want to go to Sky Pillar with Wallace." Emerald stated with a deep determination in her tone.
"B-by yourself?!" Leaf gasped.
"No way, Emerald! Somebody has to go with you! What if you get hurt?" Sapphire asked worriedly.
"I'll go with her." Gold suggested with his usual grin on his face. "I mean, I'm not the strongest trainer here, but I at least have a lot of experience in battle. I'm sure I can defend Emerald." Gold stated confidently.
"Gold...?" Fire murmured, Silver also staring at the raven haired boy with a look of concern.
"I'll go too. Friends of Fire are friends of mine, and I can't let you guys get hurt, now can I?" Green asked with a slightly teasing tone. Fire and Silver's expression noticably relaxed.
"Are you sure about this, Emerald...?" I asked softly.
"Yeah. We all have a purpose as the Heroes of Hoenn, and I believe mine is to find Rayquaza. Yours lies here, fending off Groudon and Kyogre with Sapphire and the Heroes of Kanto and Johto." Emerald stated wisely. I smiled softly in response, waving goodbye as Wallace beckoned them to join him.
Emerald and Gold, not having any Flying type Pokémon, hopped onto Wallace's Gyrados with him, while Green rode  on his own Pidgeot. We waved them off for only a moment, quickly turning back to focus on Groudon and Kyogre.
"Ruby, Ruby! Look at that!" Sapphire called frantically, pulling on my sleeve as she spoke. I scanned the area she was pointing to, locking my gaze on the two all too familiar men of in the distance.
"What in the world...?" I muttered, climbing onto Milotic's back and riding towards the two men.
"Uh- it's him!" Archie muttered shakily.
"Ruby..." Maxie muttered, both men held a tone of remorse as they spoke.
"What're you two doing here? You better not be causing any more trouble or so help me, I'll-"
"No, no! We're here to help!" Archie interrupted.
"What...?" I murmured back, giving them a dumbfounded look.
"Yes, it's true. We both feel truly ashamed of our actions. You knew that this would happen, but we didn't listen." Maxie murmured regretfully, dropping his gaze as he spoke.
"We came here together in hopes to try and stop what we started. Unfortunately, we aren't havin' much luck..." Archie explained. I stood silent for a moment, unsure how to respond to their words. Hearing another powerful collision of attacks from Kyogre and Groudon behind me snapped me out of my swift trance.
"Look, just.... be careful. And don't do anything stupid while you're at it." I muttered, signalling Milotic to take me back to the rest of our friends. I can​ only hope they were being honest with me.
"Oi, Ruby!! Come over here and help us out!" Leaf called out. I nodded firmly in response, Milotic speeding up a bit as I leaned forward.
"On it! Come on Blaziken, everyone, give it everything you've got and attack!!" I ordered as I leaped off of Milotic's back.
Please Emerald.... please find Rayquaza and come back safe.
