It was a bright sunny day in September, and a seven year old girl who lived in White Forest was heading to Undella Town to pick up some groceries. As she walked, she remembered what her mother had told her before she left.
"Burgundy, don't forget to check the labels! You know you have a serious yeast allergy and we don't want a reaction to happen again!"
"I won't, mum!" She had replied before running out.

Burgundy enjoyed going to Undella Town, even if summer time was over and the festivals had started to pack away. Sometimes, her family went there for a few fun days on the beach, but recently, her dad had become busier with work so they couldn't take as many holidays as before.

Burgundy managed to easily find the groceries needed and she headed back, a large smile on her face as she went. Burgundy was a very happy little girl, and she would've been skipping if she wasn't holding anything.

However, that happiness faded rather quickly when Burgundy reached her house, as it had somehow collapsed, as if something had squashed it. Burgundy immediately dropped the bag of groceries and ran to try and find her parents. They had to have made it out. While looking through the rubble, Burgundy heard voices.
"My prince, I believe there were people in that house."
"Oh well, we just won't tell anyone it was us." The second voice sounded only a couple of years older than Burgundy, and she had to hold in a sob at how horrible he sounded.
"But Prince Xavier...what if they're still alive?"
"Then we kill them." Burgundy stepped on a sharp piece of wood, and since she was barefoot, she yelled in pain, then realised her mistake and covered her mouth.
"What was that?"
"Send the Poochyena, I have to see my father."

Growling filled Burgundy's ears before a fleet of Poochyena neared her, all gnashing their teeth, so she did the only thing she could think of. She ran. She ran to Marvellous Bridge, where she knew other people would be, trainers hopefully. However, nobody was there. As Burgundy ran onto the bridge, she realised her mistake as the bridge was out from a recent Hydreigon attack. Part of the bridge was missing. But if she stopped now she could be eaten.

So, as she reached the edge, she jumped with all of the energy she could muster, but she didn't fully reach the other side. She was clinging on to the other edge, desperate. At least the Poochyena had run off now they couldn't reach her. But she was too weak to pull herself up.

Suddenly, a small green ball floated over to Burgundy, and she recognised it as a Pokémon called Solosis, a Psychic type. Without Burgundy even saying anything, the Solosis used its psychic powers to lift her up and safely put her on the other end of the bridge.
"You saved me. Thank you." She smiled at the Solosis, before it tried to make its way into her arms. "Hey, are you alone out here? Me too...maybe we should be alone together..."
