Can We Still Be Like Before?

CHAPTER 2: IT'S BETTER IF YOU DON'T KNOW

♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡

I yawned sadly as I looked at my phone. I opened my gallery and it reveals all of my memories with The Sins, Liz and especially, Meliodas. I opened some pictures of Me and Meliodas.

Some are making funny faces and making a peace sign. Everything was fine back then. Meliodas and I have been a great lovers. I sighed and get dressed. I decided to take a little jogging at the Famous Park.

I wore pink blouse and black leggings and a sport shoes. I also brought a headphone and phone so I can listen to a music while running.

I ran outside and I accidentally looked at a familiar house.

"Wait... It's Meliodas' house!" I said to myself. Suddenly, I saw the door opened and it shows Meliodas yelling at someone and I immediately hide. I hide behind the bushes.

"Whatever you're gonna do, don't eat scraps today!" Meliodas yelled.

"Fine, fine! Just go, shorty!" Someone yelled and I giggled. That person called him 'shorty'. I was giggling hard. Suddenly, someone spoke.

"Elizabeth?" Meliodas asked.

"M-Meliodas?!" I said and I ran. I guess he didn't follow me. Good. But, why do I feel sad without him?

I sighed and started jogging around the Famous Park. I used my headphone and listened to a music. Suddenly, I saw someone in front of me.

Why, now?!

Meliodas was in front of me. I slowly stopped and turned away and ran fast. I ended up in front of our tree. My name was there again. It says;

MELIODAS ♡ ELIZABETH

~Elizabeth, I'm sorry. I know you won't forgive me and I won't force you to. Even if you don't love me anymore, I will always love you. I wish we could talk to each other and we can be still friends like we were kids. I don't want us to act strangers. I don't know why I fell in love with Vivian but, in my heart, you're the only girl for me. Elizabeth, I'm sorry and I love you~

That letter was pinned beside the names. I took it and hold it. But, now, my eyes were full of tears.

"Elizabeth?" I turned around.

"Meliodas..." I said.

"Elizabeth, I'm sorry," he said and I stared at him.

"Meliodas, why didn't you keep your promise? Why?" I asked him.

"I also don't know. She just sounded like you and she acts like you," Meliodas said.

"But, I'm not her. We're a different person," I said.

"I know," he lowered his head.

"Meliodas, I will forgive you this time," I said and he looked at me.

"Really?"

"Yes, but, that doesn't mean we're lovers again. We're just friends," I said.

"Right... just... friends," he said sadly.

"That is better than being strangers, isn't it?" I said with a smile.

"Yeah," he kept making a sad smile.

"Meliodas, I'm going back at England after this year ends," I said.

"What?! Why?!"

"It's better if you don't know"
