CHAPTER 9: THE LEGENDARY MAID

♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡

"Time for work!" Veronica shouted at my door. I sat up and rubbed my eyes lazily. I walked towards the door with sleepy eyes and messy hair. I opened the door and Veronica stood in front of my door.

"Oh, Eli. Breakfast is-" she was cut off when I shut the door straight to her face.

"What the?! Open this door, right now!" Veronica demanded. I just ignored her and I went to my closet to grab my waitress uniform.

After that, I opened my door.

"Elizabeth, that was rude!" Veronica said angrily.

"Sorry," I said as I went to the bathroom. Once I was inside the bathroom, I immediately stripped my pajamas off and took a shower.

Time Skip

"I'm off!" I said and ran to the cafe. After a few minutes, I was in front of the cafe. I entered and the waitresses hugged me

"What's the hug for?" I asked.

"Elizabeth, congratulations!" Diane said.

"For what?" I was really really confused.

"You are one of the candidates of 'The Legendary Maid'," one of the waitresses said and my eyes went wide.

"Really?! Who else was chosen?" I asked and no one answered.

"None. Only you. The competition changed all of the sudden. One waitress in every cafe. So, Elizabeth. Since, I wasn't chosen, will you win this for me?" Diane smirked.

"Sure! When is the competition and where?" I asked.

"Today and I guess, at the Famous Park's stage," one of the waitresses said.

"What?! Today? But, I am not ready!" I said.

"Don't worry. You just have to show them what being a great waitress is," Diane said.

"You sure I can do this?" I asked.

"I'm sure you can. We have faith in you!" Diane cheered and I smiled.

"Okay," I said.

"I'll do my best!" I said cheerfully but half of it, I was nervous.

Time Skip

I was actually getting ready for the competition. I was walking with Diane to the Famous Park. I saw the stage full of lights and I can see the other candidates. They were pretty.

I don't stand against these girls...

"Elizabeth, you're over thinking about this. Just keep calm. Everyone will watch you. What I mean by everyone is everyone. Including us, Sins, your family and all of your friends," Diane smirked.

"You mean, Meliodas will watch as well?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm confused," Diane said and I tilted my head.

"You could've said "Kanata will watch as well" instead, you said "Meliodas will watch as well". So, it means, you still have feelings for Captain?!" Diane's eyes sparkled and I blushed.
