CHAPTER 5: MEMORIES

Kanata said he'll take me out and so, I prepared an outfit. I still remembered when Meliodas took me out on a date. We even kissed in the rain and played like we're kids.

I sighed and I decided to check if I gained weight.

"Eh?!" I gained weight!!!

"Oh, no," I said as I looked at my mirror. I don't really looked fat but, what?! I gained weight?! I shrugged it off and decided to wear my clothes. Good thing they still fits me.

I heard a knocked on my door.

"Elizabeth, you done?" Kanata asked.

"Yes!" I replied sadly. My mind was only on Meliodas. I can't forgot the day we have our date.

I walked to Kanata with sad face.

"Why the sad face?" He asked and I shook my head.

↑KANATA'S POV↑

Oh, I hope she's not thinking about Meliodas. Will she ever learn to love me? Well, she accepted my proposal, but, what if she just forced herself?

I shook my head and cleared my mind. I grabbed Elizabeth's hand and we walked together and went to an amusement park.

"Woah, Meliodas never brought me here," Elizabeth said with an amazed face. I knew it, she's thinking about Meliodas.

"Elizabeth, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"I dunno. How about you?" She asked.

"Let's try the roller coaster," I challenged her.

"Eh? Wh-why don't we... uh... ride the... merry-go-round?" She said.

"Elizabeth, are you afraid?" I asked.

"N-no, who told you I was afraid? Come on, let's ride the *gulped* roller coaster," she said. I can't believe she had that bravery and it made me amazed.

We rode the roller coaster and we were sitting in front. The roller coaster was going up and up and I looked at Elizabeth who looked pale.

"Uh, Kanata!" She yelled as the roller coaster rode down fast and I laughed.

"What are you laughing at?" She asked looking at me with little tears.

"If you told me that you're afraid, we shouldn't have rode here!" I smiled and she looked away.

Time skip

"That was amazing!" I said.

"That was... exhausting," Elizabeth said like she's sleepy.

"Okay, let's eat ice cream," I said and I saw her tears streamed down.

♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡

The word 'ice cream' made my tears streamed down.

"What's wrong?" He asked worried.

"I just... remembered when... Meliodas bought me an ice cream on our date," I made a sad smile.

After that, we buy ice cream and we talked. Suddenly, I remembered that I gained weight and stopped eating ice cream.

"Why'd you stop eating?" He asked.

"I'm on a diet," I replied embarrassed.

"Diet?"

"Ugh! I gained weight," I said and he lifted my chin.

"Don't worry, I love you just the way you are," he said.

That words... Meliodas said that to me before. And suddenly I cried.

"Elizabeth?" He said.

"Kanata, take me home, now," I said sadly. He just nodded and walked me home.

After a few minutes, Kanata and I reached my house.

"Kanata, thank you for today," I said as I entered my house sadly. After that, Kanata left. I went to my room which has a balcony. My balcony has a view of another balcony in front. I went to my balcony and enjoyed the breeze of the wind. But...

"You good-for-nothing pig! Give me that!" Meliodas shouted at a cute pig. The pig has a paper on his mouth and he's running around. Suddenly, Meliodas kicked the pig. My eyes went wide.

"Meliodas, no!" I shouted and it is enough for Meliodas to hear me. Meliodas looked at me.

"Elizabeth?" He said.

"That hurt, you bastard!" The pig shouted.

"A talking pig?!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, snap. Elizabeth, don't tell this to anyone!" Meliodas said and I nodded. Suddenly, the talking pig threw the paper to me.

"Elizabeth, don't open it!" Meliodas shouted.

"Read it!" The pig said. I picked the paper and read it. It says:

My Only Princess

My only princess is Elizabeth
She's the most beautiful girl I've ever met
We became such a good lover
But, we didn't live happily ever after

We fought and yelled at each other
We broke up and that is what I can't bear
We have been separated
I don't know how many tears I've shed

After 6 years, we saw each other again
But, she was already engaged
And it cause me pain
It feels like I'm stuck in a lonely cage

Elizabeth, I broke my promise to you
And I don't know if you still love me, too
I know we're just friends, nothing more nothing less
But for me, you're my only princess

It's another poem. I didn't realize that I was already crying.

"Meliodas..." I mumbled.

"Elizabeth?" He said.

"You... still love me?" I asked.

"Of course, I do," he said. It made me feel a lot better. I still love him but, I'm engaged. I should've told Meliodas how I feel but, I'm too late. I have accepted someone I don't love.

"Meliodas, can I have your poem?" I asked.

"Sure," he said.

"Thank you," I said and lie down to my bed.

※MELIODAS' POV※

I watched Elizabeth as she lie down to her bed in her room. I was just standing on my balcony.

"Hey, Meliodas," Hawk called me.

"What?" I asked.

"Do you think she still loves you?" He asked

"I don't know," I replied sadly.

"Well, I think- no, let me rephrase that. I know she still love you, so, don't lose hope, shorty," he said.

"Thanks, I guess you are not such a good-for-nothing pig after all," I smirked. He smiled and left. I saw Elizabeth on her bed sleeping. She's cute as always.

I went on my cabinet. I saw my photo albums. It says: My Memories with Elizabeth

I opened it and looked at the photos. Such good memories. Elizabeth was always cheerful and always smiling. She was the most beautiful girl.
