CHAPTER 3: SHE'S ENGAGED

♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡

"It's better if you don't know," I said.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing. Since we're friends again, why don't we sit here for a while and I'm really tired," I made a small giggled

"Me too. I've been running for...  I don't know how much time I've been running," he said and we sat down.

"Elizabeth, why are you moving to England. You always leave," he said

"Well..."

"Huh?"

"Meliodas, about that... remember when I... mentioned someone's name yesterday?" I asked.

"Uh-huh, Kanata, is it?" He said and I nodded.

"Well, he... pro...proposed to me and father told me to accept it but... I don't like him at all. I don't even know him. All I know is that our company is working with Kanata's family. Father said if I marry Kanata, our company will be a great success if Kanata's there to help but, no. I choose you but, you already have a girl. I'm too late," I said sadly.

"Pro... proposed to you?" He said and I looked at him.

"How dare him! I should be the one proposing to you!" He said and I blushed.

"What?" My eyes were wide.

"Oops, s-sorry," he said.

"No, it's okay,"

"Elizabeth!" Someone spoke. It's quite familiar. No, don't tell me...!

We turned around and saw... Kanata!

"K-Kanata?" I said and Meliodas looked at me.

"That's Kanata?" He said and I nodded.

"Elizabeth, how are you?" Kanata said in front of us.

"I-I'm great," I said nervously.

"Oh, who are you?" Kanata asked Meliodas.

"Meliodas Wrath," he replied.

"Oh, so you're Elizabeth's best friend. She used to tell me how great your friendship is," Kanata smiled. Kanata has such a warming heart. He used to cheer me up when I missed all of my friends here. He always bought me gifts and chocolate to make me smile. But, I still like Meliodas more.

Kanata has also blonde hair and he has a brown and orange eyes mixed together.

"Anyway, Elizabeth, what's your answer?" Kanata asked and I got nervous so, I will try to change the subject.

"Before that, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"To know your answer, that's why," he replied and it is still related to it!

"What do you mean by answer?" Meliodas asked.

"Kanata, I'm still thinking about it," I said.

"Oh," he said.

"Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go to the cafe and I'm going to start working!" I ran away. Wait, I guess leaving the two of them was such a stupid idea! Well, maybe they'll get along. I hope Meliodas won't say anything about our relationship when we were still lovers.

Elizabeth ran to the cafe and Kanata and I were left.

"So, Meliodas, since you are Elizabeth's best friend, I must say you know more things about her. Do you mind telling me what she likes?" He said and I nodded.
