Chapter 21:

When we opened the door to her flat I turned furious. Gareth were sitting by her kitchen table, probably waiting for her to get home. His eyes met mine and he frowned. "I had hoped that me and Noelle could have a private moment"

I took a deep breath and was just about to say something to him, but Noelle stopped me. "Gareth. Please leave me alone"

"So you want him? I thought I was the love of your life?"

"This isn't about which man I choose to date! I could choose none of you if I wanted to. The point is that I don't want to be with you anymore. You were the love of my life, but then you died, remember? And unfortunately, I don't feel anything for you anymore, because I thought I knew you, but I definitely didn't!"

I admired her for getting all that out, when just a few hours ago, she could barely kiss me without getting out of breath. The two of them were silent. "And if you truly are interested; yes. I want him", she added and pointed at me, not breaking eye contact with Gareth once. "Can I ask you something, Gareth?"

He nodded. "Am I the love of your life?"

"You were. But I have been with a few other girls when I was in Denmark. And it was so much easier to make them fall for me. So I don't know"

She smiled a sarcastic smile. "Great. Now, leave", she said and pointed at the door.

He slammed the door shut after him. She looked at me with sparkles in her eyes. The second he left she smashed her lips onto mine. As this passionate kiss took place she backed slowly until her back hit the wall. My hands wandered down to her hips and held them tightly. Her hands were tied up in my hair. Both of us were out of breath by now, but we didn't stop. I had been waiting for this moment for so long, so I couldn't just stop. I desperately needed her kiss on my lips. I came closer to her and closed the tiny space that were between us. With our foreheads pressed against the others, we pulled away to catch our breaths. She had her eyes closed but she smiled as she panted. I wanted to let her catch her breath so I started kissing her cheek. I made my way down her neck and didn't miss a single inch of her skin. When I came to her collarbone I buried my face by her neck. "Guy", she whispered. I returned to our forhead position and gave her a questioning look. She put her hands in my hair like before and pulled me closer. Once again, we were kissing like there was no tomorrow.

We spent the rest of the day kissing. In the kitchen, on the couch and in her bed. Right now we were in her bed. She looked deeply into my eyes. "I never even thought about going back to him you know", she started. "It was just a shock to suddenly meet him, but never wanted him back after all he's done. I wasn't too sure about us two, though"

I had my arms around her waist. "Are you sure about us now?", I asked carefully. I prayed to God that this wouldn't end anything.

"I wasn't until you told me...you know. Because it hurt even more than when I thought Gareth was dead. That's when I knew"

I pulled her closer and hugged her. "I'm sorry", I whispered in her ear. She shivered from my hot breath. I suddenly started thinking of a special song and started humming lightly. "Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you"

I felt a pair of lips on my neck, and let's be honest, I loved it. The way her soft lips landed on different places each time, leaving me wanting for more.

I glanced at the clock. "It's getting late. I should be going home soon", I said, not trying to reveal the fact that I loved what she was doing to me. She stopped kissing me. "But I don't want you to go", she whined. "Me neither, but I have to"

"No. I want to kiss you, don't leave me here all alone", she tried. The thought of leaving her alone didn't feel right, not after today's events. "Guy, I need you"

"Come with me. Pack the things you need and come with me to my house", I suggested. Her eyes lit when I said that. She jumped out of bed and started gathering all her stuff. She put them in a small bag. "Ready!", she said and placed herself in front of the bed. I started laughing. "What is it?", she huffed.

"First of all, you're so adorable. And second, are you really going in your pyjama?"

The looked down at her clothes. "Maybe not", she mumbled. "But you have to either leave the room or promise not to look when I change"

"I promise I won't look", I said and closed my eyes. Of course I didn't look when I promised her not to, but only God knows how hard it was.

When she was ready we left and went to my house. I realized that Noelle had never been to my house before. I unlocked the door and turned the lights on. "Guy, this is beautiful!", she said as her eyes sparkled. I admired her as she walked around in my house. How I wished that she lived here with me, she just fits in the whole picture of this house. I came up to her from behind and put my arms around her waist. "Could you imagine living here with me someday?", I asked. She mumbled in agreement. "Maybe as Mrs Berryman?", I tried. She turned around. "I swear to God if you are proposing right now I-", she said before I cut her off.

"Noelle, I'm not proposing. Relax. You're not even officially my girlfriend yet. Although I wouldn't mind"

"One thing at a time", she said.

After a long day we went to bed and I hugged her a little extra tight this night. Nothing in the whole world could make me let go of this girl.
