5 Months Later
I cleared my throat, the dry grass crunching beneath my feet. "Mark? You okay?"
Leaning forward, I noticed Mark holding Chica's collar close to his chest. Tears were streaming out of his remaining eye as he turned around to look at me. A lump formed in my throat as I walked forward.
"I just- I can't believe she's-she's...." Mark stuttered, but I stopped him.
"Mark, don't." I looked to the spot where Chica had been buried, trying not to cry. "She was old and lived a good life. You should be glad she passed so peacefully."
He attempted to wipe the tears running down his face. "I know, Chica's in a better place. I'm just really gonna miss her."
I placed my hand on Mark's back. "I will too, we all will."
Mark looked to me with a sad expression. I swallowed, trying to stay strong so Mark could be strong too. The two of us stared at each other for a long moment before Mark pulled me into a hug. I couldn't handle it anymore. That's when the tears came.

"Hey, Ethan. Can you do me a favor?" Gerald asked, coming up behind us at the table we were eating at.
It took everything in me not to roll my eyes at Ethan's long time friend. I turned away from Gerald, picking at my beans with the plastic fork.
Ethan stared at Mark, who was still depressed after two weeks without Chica. Amy placed her hand on Mark's arm, looking at Ethan like it was okay if he went.
Ethan turned around, raising his eyebrows. "Yeah, what is it?"
"Another person just arrived. She doesn't really know anything about this place and wants a tour. You're the most talkative person I know, mind giving her a tour?"
"No, not at al-"
"Did you say she?" I demanded, whipping my head around.
Tyler laughed, letting out a long 'oh'. "Is somebody jealous?"
I turned around from Gerald, glaring at Tyler. "Me? Jealous?"
Dan shrugged. "Then you should be fine with Ethan giving the girl a tour."
"Oh, yeah. I'm totally fine with it. Go ahead." I said quickly, signalling for Ethan to go.
Ethan smiled thankfully, kissing me on the cheek, before following Gerald through the cafeteria. I let out an angry sigh, resting my head on my hand.
Phil giggled, seeing my annoyed expression. "It'll be okay, (___). I was kind of jealous when you first got here, I thought you were trying to steal Dan from me."
"I'm not jealous." I responded.
Mark let out a laugh. Something he hadn't done since Chica passed. "I'm pretty sure you're jealous."
Amy's expression changed, happy Mark was starting to feel better. At least for the moment, that is. "Relax, (___). Ethan likes you a lot, there's nothing to worry about."
"Speaking of which," Tyler said, pointing behind me. "You might want to turn around."
I did as Tyler said, seeing Ethan standing next to a brown haired girl. Furrowing my eyebrows at the girl, I thought. Why did she look so familiar? I've seen her...somewhere.
I turned back around, staring at the table. "I've seen her before."
Amy looked at me with confusion. "Really? Maybe you ran into her before you met Ethan? She doesn't look familiar to me at all."
"I'm not sure. I just know her face...." my words drifted off as I took a bite of my beans, then I remembered.
I coughed, nearly choking. She was with Sean. She was the girl next to the blond man. Why was she here?
"(___)? Are you alright?" Dan questioned, everyone at the table staring at me with concern.
I nodded, turning back around to see the girl staring at me. Ethan tapped her shoulder and the two continued their tour. When I looked back to the others, my expression was cold.
"She needs to leave."
