Myra stood beside her sister Anaya, both of them wearing similar dresses. They waited backstage as host Jay Leno talked to the cameras. They had both been invited to be on The Tonight Show.
"The two people were about to introduce -- one is starting in a new movie while the other just released her new album. Youve heard of them and here they are, Myra Jackson and Anaya Bhatt!" He introduced as they walked out, waving to the audience before they sat on the couch.
"First off, let me just say I am not fans of the both of you. Ive replayed Starboy and Black Sea a million times," he complimented.
"Thanks," they both replied.
"Now, let me just say you two really look alike," Jay mentioned as Myra and Anaya looked at each other briefly.
"Well, we are sisters so it wouldn't make sense of one of us had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was six foot," shrugged Myra.
"Everyone tells that to us but we don't see it," added Anaya.
"So, Myra, how is filming for The Ring going?" Jay asked.
"It's going good. My character, Billie, she was a former FBI agent so we got to work with actual FBI agents," she answered.
"Did you getnloweres from the ceiling?" Anaya asked.
"No," Myra answered, "Besides, you couldn't pay me to do that. I'm actually a little afraid of heights since the whole bridge incident."
"You have a Ferris wheel in your backyard," Anaya replied.
"I stay inside. I have two kids, okay. You leave them alone they get into something and make a mess," sighed Myra.
"Sucks for you," laughed Anaya, earning a punch in the shoulder.
"Anyway, but being with the FBI agents was great. They taught me some thing about what they do so ai actually knew what I was talking about," she began again, "I got to do some spy shit."
"That's a bad word," laughed Anaya as Myra briefly covered her mouth.
"You have to watch what you say because you have kids," added Jay with a laugh.
"Prince, Paris, don't repeated what I say," she spoke to the camera as she smiled.
"Especially with baby number three," mentioned Anaya before shd quickly realized she had messed up.
"Baby number three?" Jay asked, intrigued.
"Michael and I were trying to keep it a secret, but someone," Myra cast a look at Anaya, "gave it away. Anyway, yeah, Michael and I are having another kid."
"How far along are you?" Jay asked, surprised he didn't notice.
"I'm five months pregnant and we already know the gender," Myra confirmed as the live audience cheered.
"Tell us," begged Anaya.
"It's another boy," mentioned Myra, "It's going to be two boys and one girl, so pray for us around February and early March."
"Anaya, what made you follow into the music business?" Jay moved onto Anaya.
"It's was Myra who kinda inspired me to do it actually. Beyonce too," shrugged Anaya, "but mainly Myra because ever since I was little I wanted to follow in the steps of my big sister."
"I remember you would actually steal my shoes and wear them around the house," Myra reminded, "Then when I needed them the next day they were somewhere around the house and it took me twenty minutes to find them."
"Did you two have a sibling rivalry kind of thing?" He queried.
"Pretty much everyone who has brothers or sister's, or even both like Michael, had a sibling rivalry," Myra confessed, "The amount of haircuts we had to get because we either glued something to the other person hair or we stuck gum in it drove her insane."
"She definitely deserves some respect because of how long she put up with us," agreed Anaya.
"How was school for you two?" Jay moved onto another question.
"High school was harder because everything counted. You had to keep your good grades or you didn't get to college, which I somehow managed to get accepted to Louisiana State University," Myra launched into a tale, "but kids in high school should be treated better. Theyre not lazy, just tired. They juggle schoolwork and after school practices. I had marching band practice everyday of the week and was dead tired."
"You were in marching band? What instrument did you play?" Jay asked.
"I started on trumpet, but he needed a baritone because we only had one and out show features them alot so I said screw it and have it a shot," she shrugged.
"Can you show us?" Anaya asked.
"Does it look like I was a trumpet or baritone with me?" Myra retorted.
"We actually have one and we can get you some music," Jay offered.
Sure enough, someone actually brought out a trumpet with some music for her. She then regretted wearing lipstick that day.
"Ooh, it's Thriller," Anaya pointed out.
She put the trumpet to her lips setting a tempo with tapping her foot. She began the song, occasionally struggling to play some high notes since she had played in such a long time. It finally ended on a high gx and she put the instrument down.
She managed to salvage her lipstick as she music and trumpetbwere taken away. The audience applaued once more.
"Were going to head to commercial break, and when we get back Myra and Anaya will play a game of Who's More Likely To," he said his goodbye and the television would go to a commercial break.
