The Starboy World Tour began its first show in Miama. The venue she was performing at was sold out. Thousands of her fans were gathered inside, wearing either shirts, jackets, or bracelets that had to do with Starboy.
Myra stood backstage, a glass in her hands. Inside was hot water with a dissolved Riccola candy -- a trick she had picked up from Michael. Her hair rested in curls, her makeup finished. Her eyeshadow was mixed with glitter to appear like stars.
She finished the glass of water before it was taken from her. Lipstick, a dark blue shade, was reapplied to make up for the smears left on the glass.
"You are on in one minute," Shaylynn bounced over, "Are you okay?"
"I'm great," Myra laughed. "It just sucks that's I won't be there for Michael's birthday."
"I have a surprise for you on that," Shaylynn smiled as she lead Myra to her starting place underneath the stage, "I managed to work things out, but they said the concert on his birthday will be moved back a day so you can spend time with him!"
"You're the best!" Myra exclaimed as she hugged Shaylynn excitedly.
"You also have to tell him about your certain baby situation," Shaylynn reminded her as she felt the slightly growing baby bump on Myra's stomach.
"I know," Myra confirmed as she stood on the rising platform.
""Good luck," Shaylynn wished for a final time as a headset microphone was fitted for her hair.
The platform began to rise, her figure barely visible under the dim lighting. She stood there, one hand on her hip for a few seconds, listening to the cheers. The backing track for Starboy began playing as faux stars hung from the ceiling.
"I'm tryna put you in the worst mood, ah, P1 cleaner than your church shoes, ah," Myra sang into the microphone.
The simple choreography burst from her body to the beat of the song. They cheered when she debuted one of the spins Michael taught her. She landed on her knees, the words still flowing from her mouth.
"Look what you've done," she sang, "I'm a motherfucking Starboy," the line repeated before she jumped back to her feet.
She sang line after line before the song ended. It was replaced with Side to Side, another song she had written for the album. It wasn't as much of a hit as the others but she liked it herself.
Side to Side was followed by Shape of You. Shape of You lead into Halo, probably the favorite from the album which was followed by Starboy.
The tempo of the show changed from fast paced to slow. Her dancing stopped as she stood at center stage, dancers resembling angels appearing.
"Everywhere I'm looking now, I'm surrounded by your embrace," she crooned gently into the microphone, "Baby, I can see your halo, you know you're my saving grace."
The crowd joined in with the lyrics. Myra joined in with the dance the angels were doing behind her. At the end of the song, angel wings enveloped her, allowing for a quick outfit change before the next song.
The angel wings were moved away to just show a figure of Myra kneeling. Her newest outfit wasn't visible to the crowd yet, but messy pigtails were visible.
The introduction to Heathens began. The only noise was rain and jail cells shutting. Myra waited for the right time before she began to sing.
"All my friends are heathens, take it slow, wait for them to ask you who you know," she began, the lights on stage revealing her in a sort of prison outfit. "Please don't make any sudden moves, you don't know the half of the abuse."
Backup dancers came out, dressed as famous villains. Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, Deadshot, and Myra was dressed as Harley Quinn. Her lipstick had been switched to a dark red, and underneath the prison outfit was a red and black outfit visible.
The show ended with Drag Me Down. In the end, Myra sat backstage as she was stripped of her concert outfit for it to be put away until the next show.
She realized how her legs ached when she sat down. The sweat was wiped from her face and she was given a cold bottle of water. She began to struggle to stay awake and she couldn't wait until she could sleep on the ride to the next city for the next show.
She was surrounded by bodyguards as she left the scene. Myra waved to the fans one last timw before she sat in the Rolls Royce that would take her and Shaylynn to the airport.
As the car hit the freeway, Myra fell asleep. She kept he knees tucked close to her, leaning against the window. A blanket was put over her to keep her warm. She wasn't woken up until the airport where she got on a flight to Charlotte.
