THAT WEDNESDAY:

Charlotte's POV:

I noticed a yellow slip of paper floating to the ground as I opened my locker door.

It was a late pass. I flipped it over to see a small note written on the back.

"Char,

I'll see you after school. Can't wait for tonight. :)

-Harry. xoxo"

I smiled at the thought of Harry, probably using his knee to write the note. I could tell because of the slightly different handwriting. I stuffed the note into my backpack, pulling my chemistry book out and placing it into my locker.

"You should really spice your locker up a little." I heard, I turned to my left to see a girl standing at her locker, right next to mine. She had long, black hair, olive toned skin and was a few inches taller than me.

"You think so?" I asked her. "I'm not sure what to do with it."

"Just, put a little 'you' in there. You know, stuff you like, anything that makes you happy." She told me smiling.

I thought for a second, then pulled the slightly crumpled note from Harry out of my bag. I stuck it in the little slot just inside the door so it would stay and smiled to myself.

"It's not much, but it's enough for now." I told the girl.

"I'm Kristen, by the way." She grinned. She was really pretty, more so than me.

"Charlotte." I informed her. "Has your locker always been here?" I asked. I found it strange that I have never seen her before.

"Oh, no. I switched. Mine was all the way upstairs and I could never find the time to get up there." She told me and I nodded.

"So, why do you have a late pass in your locker?" Kristen asked.

"Oh, it's a note from my boyfriend." I said, showing it to her.

She read the note and her face formed a huge smile.

"Oh, so you're Harry's Charlotte" She spoke, grinning and I wondered how they knew each other. "We've known each other since elementary school." She answered my thoughts. "So, date night huh?"

"Yeah," I laughed at her enthusiasm and bright personality. "But I honestly have no idea how to act. It's been," I paused at the thought of my past. "A while." I finally spoke.

"I can help you if you want, I'm kind of good at this sort of thing." Kristen smiled.

"I'll take what help I can get." I laughed. "You can meet me at my place after school if you want." I wrote my address on a stray piece of paper that way lying on the floor and handed it to her and the bell rang.

I closed my locker, adjusting my bag on my shoulder.

"Well, I guess I'll see you after school!" She called and I waved.

Did I just make a friend? Like, an actual friend?

Weird.

AFTER SCHOOL:

"Why can't I just stay with you until dinner?" Harry whined, pulling out of the school parking lot.

"Because," I told him. "I have to get ready and if you're there with me then it won't be a surprise."

"But-"

"Harry, it's only two hours. You'll live." I told him, poking his cheek.

"I don't think I will." He played. He's so damn stubborn. We pulled into my driveway just as soon as I began to take my seatbelt off.

"You're really going to make me..wait?" He asked, pouting.

"Yes, I am." I cupped his cheeks. "You'll be okay, talk to Gemma or something." I suggested.

"Not happening." He rolled his eyes and laughed. I kissed his cheek and opened the car door.

"I'll see you later, okay?" I said.

"Fine." He pouted. I laughed at him and closed the door. I knew he would wait until I got inside to leave, so before I walked inside, I blew him a kiss. He pretended to catch it, putting it into his pocket.

Smiling, I locked the door and say around, waiting for Kristen. Sure enough, she showed up around five minutes later.

"Hey." I greeted her.

"Hi! Wow, you're place is nice." She told me smiling.

"Thanks," I genuinely said. "What's all that?" I asked, gesturing to the small duffel bag that was hanging from her shoulder.

"Oh, just some stuff to help you get ready!" She looked so excited, and it must have rubbed off onto me because so was I.

"Well, I know what I want to do first." I smirked, and she gave me a confused look.

Harry's POV:

It was almost six, and I was nowhere near ready.

"Harry!" My step-father called from upstairs.

"Yeah?" I yelled back. Instead of a reply, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and eventually the door opened.

"What?" He asked. "You're not even ready yet?" He looked almost shocked.

"I don't even know how to get ready for something like this!" I explained. I probably should have thought about this before. If it were with any other girl, then I wouldn't be having this panic attack.

"Must I do everything?" Robin asked, walking over to my closet. He grabbed a grey V-neck, a black blazer, and white converse.

"Now, hurry up. She won't wait forever." He advised as he patted my shoulder.

"I know." I sighed as he went downstairs.

I was out the door not five minutes later and I raced to her house. 5:58.

When I pulled up, it was exactly six. And yes, I like to be exactly on time. I sauntered up to the door, making sure I looked presentable before I knocked. Sighing, I knocked three times.

Not a minute later, the door was opened, but not by Charlotte.

"Harry! She's almost ready, just come on in." Kristin waved me inside and I was confused.

"Kristin? What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Oh, I was helping Charlotte get ready." She winked and I smiled.

"Are you almost ready?" Kristen called down the hall and I heard a faint "Hold on." From the bathroom that made me smile.

Minutes later, the bathroom door opened and out emerged a girl whom I at first did not recognize.

Before me stood Charlotte, brown haired and her face ridded of her dimple and septum piercings.

"Oh my God, you look-"

"Do I look bad? Kris, I told you I-" I cut her off.

"No, no, no. You look..amazing is all." I smiled. Remember when I said I didn't think she could get anymore beautiful?

I have never been more wrong in my entire life.

"Thanks," She shyly smiled. "Ready?"

"Uh, y-yeah." I stuttered. I couldn't wrap my head around her immense beauty.

"I'll text you later." She told Kristen. We got into our separate cars and made our way out of the driveway.

"You may have to drive.." I told her.

"What? Why?" She asked, concerned.

"Because I am completely and utterly blinded by you." I spoke and she was breathless.
