SIX DAYS LATER:
Harry's POV:
I literally bolted out of the classroom as the final bell sounded. Charlotte hasn't been in school this whole week. She won't reply to any of my text messages and I'm kind of worried about her.
I worried all the way to her apartment. What can I say? I just want to see her.
My car was barely in the actual parking space when I took out the key and rushed to the door.
"Charlotte?" I knocked on the door. No answer. "Charlotte?" I called again. I looked down at my shoes, realizing one was untied. As I knelt down to tie it, the door opened.
"Charlotte!" I practically choked her from hugging her so hard. She seemed surprised and I let go of her smiling.
"Why haven't you been at school? And why didn't you answered my texts?" I asked her. She waved me in and I shut the door behind me.
We sat down at her small card table in the kitchen. She had a plain blue spiraled notebook and a pencil in front of her and began writing.
"I'm so sorry," It began. "I didn't mean to ignore you, I just have a lot on my mind." I could tell she was hiding something, I just didn't know what.
"I could've come over if something was bothering you. You know that, right?" I asked. I put my hand on her forearm and she was quick to remove it.
"I know, Harry. I'm sorry." She put the pen down as a tear rolled down her cheek. I hugged her again.
"Hey, it's okay. What's up with you? It's like you're, different." I soothed.
She wiped her tear and wrote,
"I'm okay, really. I'm just stressed about a lot of stuff." It read.
"You wanna talk about it?" She shook her head, giving me a pained smile and somehow, I knew that's all she had in her.
We sat there for a while, just enjoying each other's company, when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Styles!" I heard my teammate Zayn on the other line. "What's up dude? Haven't talked to you since conditioning last week!" He laughed.
"Hey, Zayn." I laughed. "And not much, just been sitting at Charlotte's for a while."
"Nice. Anyway, Kenlee's parents are going out of town next weekend and she's having this huge party! You and Charlotte are gonna come, right? I mean, you're with her all the time." He teased. Kenlee and Zayn have been dating for about a year, but I've known her since junior-high.
"Haha." I mocked. "Well I can ask her and let you know." I told him.
"Cool du-" He was interrupted by Kenlee in the background.
"Zayn, does this dress look okay on me?" I heard and laughed.
"You look beautiful!" Zayn called. "We've been shopping. ALL AFTERNOON." Zayn whispered.
"And I'm the one that..never mind." I laughed.
"Shut up. Just ask her and text me." He complained, hanging up.
Charlotte gave me a pretty confused look.
"Oh, that was just Zayn. His girlfriend's having a pretty big party next weekend and wants us to go." I told her.
"Us? As in me?" She wrote in her notebook.
"Yeah, you." I laughed.
"I don't know..I'm obviously not a people person." She pointed out.
"Oh come on, it'll be fun. Pleaseeeeee?" I begged her. She smiled and finally gave in. I decided to text Zayn.
H: Hey man. We'll be there.
Z: Awesome! Have fun lover-boy!
H: I will! Have fun shopping!
Z: I might just have to kill you.
I laughed at myself and locked my phone.
