Charlotte's POV:

"Worst four hours of my life." Harry grumbled as we got into his car.

"It wasn't that bad, Harry." I rolled my eyes.

"It was! I could've spent those four hours doing something productive!" He griped and I laughed.

"Productive? Like what, play some dumb video game all day?" I asked.

"Exactly." He said and smiled. "Are we going to your place?" He asked.

"Yeah." I told him. "And I could've spent the time productively as well, you know." I smirked.

"Oh yeah? And what would you do?" He asked.

"I would read every single book in my house." I smiled and he returned it.

"Every book? In four hours? Not possible." He challenged, and he was right.

"Okay," I admitted. "But I bet I could finish the second half of the novel I'm currently reading in less than an hour." I mused.

"Fine." He confirmed. "Loser has to.." He trailed, not having any ideas as we pulled into my driveway. "Loser has to buy the winner ice cream." He spoke.

"Deal." I said. We shook hands as we unbuckled our seat belts.

I picked my purse up off the floorboard and dug around for my keys, finally finding them underneath my large wallet.

In clocking the door, I let Harry in and ran back out into the car to grab my drink that I had left in the cup holder.

When I walked back into the house, Harry was slowly browsing my bookshelf, reading every single title.

"You can borrow one, if you want to." I invited. He smiled and nodded, squatting down to browse the bottom shelf.

"That's a good one." I told him, grabbing my paperback copy of C.S. Lewis's 'Out Of a The Silent Planet' and flipping through the pages. "I highlighted some stuff though." I spoke as I skimmed a few odd paragraphs that had been coated in yellow.

"That's okay, then I'll know what your favorite parts are." He grinned, reading over the highlighted words. I slammed the book shut and placed it on the couch.

"You can't read that far ahead yet!" I told him. He smiled, walking over to me.

"Too bad. I already read the whole paragraph." The smirk that splayed across his face was just dazzling, almost distracting me.

"You better get reading." He tossed my book over to me and I began to read.

I watched him every few minutes, to see what he was doing. He was currently lying on the floor with his arms stretched into the air, poking at his hands.

"You know, if you're bored you can always come read with me." I prodded.

"No, no." He played. "I'm not the one that has to finish a book in less than twenty minutes."

Five pages and ten short minutes later, my book was finish and I reigned as victor, making sure Harry didn't forget it.

"Okay, okay." He laughed. "You know, I think I'm the real winner here, considering I get to buy you ice cream."

I'll admit, I wasn't all too hungry. But seeing how excited Harry was made me suddenly starving.

Harry's POV:

"That was some damn good ice cream." I said as I threw away my cup, still standing in the restaurant.

"Harry, language. We're in public." Charlotte smacked my shoulder.

"Sorry." I laughed. "You wanna take a walk?" I asked and she nodded.

We walked down the street a little while before I spoke.

"So, why did you decide to dye your hair blue?" I asked. I've always wondered.

"I don't know really. I've always wanted to have a different hair color but now I'm sort of getting sick of it." She twirled a blue-hued lock between her fingers.

"I like it." I told her and she blushed.

"My piercings are the same way, I only got them done because my friends were all going together." She trailed.

"Well, if it's any constellation, I happen to like your hair and your piercings." I said truthfully. I don't think she could ever get any more beautiful.

"Well thanks. You're not half bad yourself." She smiled. I almost that we left the car in the parking lot of the ice cream shop.

"We should probably turn around. The car's back that way." I pointed in the opposite direction as we turned and walked in the other direction.

"You know what's funny?" I asked. "I haven't even taken you out to dinner yet."

"You don't have to, Harry." She spoke.

I knew she would say that.

"I want to though." I told her smiling. "So, what do you say?" I asked, pulling the signature pouty-lip.

"If I have to." She joked and I laughed.

"Does Wednesday night sound okay?" I asked hopefully, she gave me a grin but then spoke.

"Sounds fantastic." She smiled and kissed me. God, I loved when she did that. There was some kind of fire behind it.

And I liked it.
