Harry's POV:
"Charlotte." I read out loud. She nodded, almost shying away from me.
"So," I began, trying to make her feel better. "What exactly are you reading?"
She looked at me, then slowly passed the book over to me.
"The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green." I read. Her lips went into a straight line as she watched me.
"I've read this one you know. My favorite part is when-"
She cut me off by plugging her ears, grinning at me under her arm. I laughed at this.
"Okay, okay. No spoilers!" I rose my hands in defeat and she laughed a silent laugh.
"Where are you from?" I asked randomly. She picked up the pen and wrote down,
"Connecticut."
"Ah." I observed. "Never been there."
She wrote, "It's nothing special."
"Well, neither is Florida." I joked.
"At least it's warmer here." She wrote smiling. I smiled back.
We sat there chatting about anything and everything, until the ending bell rang. Charlotte and I watched as everyone emerged into the hallways and exited the classroom.
I gathered my backpack from my seat and waited for Charlotte to put her book into her bag.
Once in the hallway, I turned to her.
"I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow." I smiled. She nodded and returned my smile as we parted ways.
As I was walking through the hallway, I was approached by one of my teammates, Liam.
"Styles!" He yelled, placing a friendly arm over my shoulder. "Who was that girl you were talking to?"
"Oh, that's Charlotte." I told him, looking behind me at the blue-haired girl.
(A/N: Hey everyone! Sorry if I'm confusing anyone, but I took half of chapter one and made it into chapter two, so 2 will be 3 and 3 will be 4. Just trying to stretch the story out just a little bit. Hope you're enjoying! -Shelby)
