Today is a particularly quiet day in the mountain, a perfect day for training with Black Canary. After we finish up, Canary goes to the watchtower for a quick meeting, so I'm here alone basking in the peace and quiet.

I remove my mask and reveal my E/C eyes, thank goodness no one is here to see my identity. I know Canary doesn't wear a mask, but I like to keep my identity a secret, especially because I don't want my team to know about my 'extra curricular activities'. I happen to be a singer, and not to brag but I'm the lead singer of a pretty popular band in Star City called 'The Canaries'. Let's just say it wouldn't be good if anyone knew that Y/N Y/L/N, the singer, was also Black Canary's crime fighting partner. Too much unwanted attention for Canary and I, so my secret identity is just as important as Batman's.

Then I stroll to the kitchen, wondering what to eat for lunch. Just then I hear the zeta tubes announce the entire teams' arrival, including Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle and Impulse. Quickly I slip on my mask, once again concealing my identity.

'Great, I can't even get five minutes alone in this place' I think to myself.

"I'm so excited for tonight!" I hear Wonder Girl squeal.

"Hey guys, what's so exciting?" I ask casually.

"There's a live performance on tonight in Star City with my favourite band!" Wonder Girl cheers.

"Cool, which band?" Blue Beetle asks.

"They're called 'The Canaries'." She says.

Then I suddenly feel my stomach tighten and my mouth run dry.

"Hey Y/N, are you okay?" I hear Impulse ask, although I just stare horrified at Wonder girl.

"U-um, y-yeah" I stutter.

"Wait, don't tell me..." Wonder girl trails off.

Oh great, she figured it out.

"You're a big fan too aren't you?" Her face suddenly brightens up again.

"Y-yeah sure, they're cool" I respond, rubbing my neck nervously.

"I've never heard of them" Blue Beetle says.

"No way!" Wonder Girl screams.

"Hey! I've got a great idea, I bought two extra tickets cause they were reasonably cheap, why don't you come along!" She exclaims.

"Sure I'm in, but someone is gonna have to miss out, we're one ticket short" Impulse states.

"Me!" I shout a little to loudly.

"Uh, I mean I'm busy tonight anyway so I can't go, maybe another time?" I cover. Smooth Y/n, smoooooth.

Although it isn't a lie because I am the one performing tonight.

"That's too bad" Wonder Girl shrugs.

"Well anyway, the concert starts in a few hours and I still have to get ready and go to Star City! Come on guys we have to get ready now if we want a good spot!" She chirps happily.

When they leave, Impulse turns to me and waves before speeding off.

I let out a big sigh. Looks like I should be getting ready now too. I run to the zeta tubes and hear the computer call my name before I appear in Star City. I quickly run home to my apartment and enter through the window stealthily, not wanting my parents to hear. Quickly, I remove my uniform and hide it in a safe place, having a quick shower afterwards. Then I put on my nicest F/C, long sleeve, skater dress and black flats.
