Chapter 18: Stealing From Thieves

As I soar in the sky on Red, because I'm unbelievably light, we both circle the city for gangs or gangsters hoping they would tell us Brutus's weakness and flaws, to maybe get an edge on him, as we fly in to another ally way, we find a Scrafty spray painting a wall, "yo, can we ask you something?" I ask trying to sound like one of there own, "I ain't tellin ya nothin!" The Scrafty replies, continuing his painting, "even if it means stealing from Brutus?" Red asks, sitting on a barrel, "Brutus huh? Well I did always hate that guy, fine what do ya wanna know? The names Ray by the way" Ray says putting his spray can in his bag, "well for one, what do you think Brutus's weakness is?" Red asks stepping by my side, "apart from effective move types, I would say his lust for fame or riches, kinda blocking his mind from more important things, but believe you me, when treasure is involved, he will go great lengths to take or keep it, other than that I don't know" Ray says as he slips his bag on, "any idea where he will be heading next?" I ask hoping for a great lead, and it succeeds, "the gangsters ally fights, Ima going to one right now hopin' to earn some dough" he says walking away, "can we join?" I ask pumped and ready to go, "if ya want, but you guys don't look like the gangsta type, maybe I can fix that.." Ray says pulling out a pocket knife and grabbing Reds sleeve, "hey watch it!" Red says trying to pull loose, "hold still will ya!" Ray says as he cuts off Reds sleeve and moves to the next one, "oh I get it!" I say letting Ray tear mine off as well, and once he finished we headed to the gangster ally fights.
"One, Two, Three, Knock Out!" The referee as he holds up the victors hand up, "we have a winner!" He continues as the gangsters collect the successful bets put on the fighter, "who's next!?" The ref asks, "bring it on punks!" Ray says stepping I the ring, "oh let's do dis!" A Skuntank, says jumping in, "hope you fight better than you smell" Ray says an insult preparing for a good fight, "you got it chum" Skuntank replies as his palm lights up, "fight!" The ref says getting out of the way, as Skuntank shoots a Flamethrower, and Ray takes the hit and comes back using PayBack, smack in the face, "that all you got bub!" The Skuntank says going in for a Sucker Punch, hitting Ray in the gut, "cmon, hit me!" Ray says mockingly hitting the Skuntank with a Head Smash nearly knocking him over, "Hit Me!" Ray shouts at the Skuntank who uses Belch, hitting Ray, "HIT ME!" Ray shouts using Focus Punch, and just when the fight was almost over, Skuntank uses Explosion! Taking him and Ray out, and knocking everyone off their feet. "Well! Looks like we have a tie!" The ref says in surprise, "haven't had one in a long while! I guess our fighters have to pick another fighter for a tiebreaker!" The ref continues looking around, "hey blue boy, I choose you to beat the next opponent, don't fail me Kay?" Ray says weakly, "no problem Ray, you can bet I'll win!" I say confident on winning and giving Ray what he deserves, "who might you be sonny?!" The ref asks me, "Max" I say going to a corner, "to our right we have Max, the Greninja! And our left, Lance, a Blaziken!" The ref says,

"hope we got a fair fight" Lance says as he sticks his hand forward, "count on it!" I say shaking his hand, "Ready?! Fight!!" The ref says making way for our battle, we both stand still waiting for the other to make a move, but I take the chance, and use Water Shuriken! And with a Poison Jab Lance stops the shurikens from hitting him, and then he goes in for a Blaze Kick, but I block with my Night Slash, getting pushed back 1 ft, then Lance goes for another attack, and uses Brave Bird, and I counter with Aerial Ace, taking some damage as does Lance from recoil, then Lance jumps in the air and uses Solar Beam, and I effortlessly dodge using Shadow Sneak, remembering that we can use five moves, then Lance comes down using High Jump Kick, and I throw him off course with Water Shuriken, hitting his shoulder, and he falls taking a good amount of damage, then he hits me with a Blaze Kick back to back as I try and counter with Aerial Ace as we exchange hits, then he just goes in all out punching and kicking like a black belt champion or something, as I block now using Night Slash as swords hitting and getting hit, after 'bout 15 min of this we tire each other out, and Lance uses Brave Bird, making direct contact with me and we both fall to the ground, to tired to get up, "One!" The ref starts, "Two! Three! It's a tie again!" The ref says as everyone looks at each other wandering what will happen next, "well I guess one final round! Then the winner will be chosen and winning team gets prizes!" The ref says as he steps down for some water, "Red I guess your in, go get em'" I say tuckered out sitting by Lance, "you got it boy!" Red says all hyped, "good fight man!" Lance says to me giving me a fist bump, "you too, but I bet you took it easy on me" I said wiping my head with my arm, "here take this, it will strengthen your Water Shuriken" Lance says as he gives me a Mystic Water, "thanks man!" I say putting it on, feeling relaxed, "no problem, just do me a favor and let's be pals" Lance says sitting back, "sure man!" I say looking at the ring, "looks like we have Red the Charizard, and Mike the Garchomp!" The ref says ready to finish this match, "why ain't you a dragon type punk, sure might wanna be one!" Mike says mockingly, "well at least I'm not afraid of fairies!" Red retorts, and the ring is filled with "oooh's" "you gonna wish you ain't said that!" Mike says ready to kill Red, "Bring it puny!" Red says ready for a mad fight, "Ready!? Fight!" The ref says again stepping back, "braahh!" Mike yells as he charges using Dragon Claw, and Red dodges by flying upward and uses Flare Blitz dealing a good amount of damage, "why stay still you little punk!" Mike yells in rage, and uses Crunch, missing yet again, and Red uses Dragon Rush, making direct contact, knocking Mike out, "and we have a winner!" The ref says holding Red's hand high as cheers and shouts roar from the crowd, and then I see Brutus, creeping around the back, so I quickly use Shadow Sneak, and pickpocket him taking what ever he has, sweet an ID, now we got him!
