Chapter 13: Victory?

   I quickly counter the Solar Beam with my Ice Beam, "what! How?!" Virgil yells angrily as I continue running to the flag, using Aerial Ace to deflect attacks as I go, "here goes Max! Nearly at the finish! Will he make it or be stopped!?" The Nidoking says on the speakers, and as I nearly get to the flag, someone uses Earthquake and I lose my balance, falling on the ground, then out of nowhere, a Steelix comes out of the ground, (for Pokémon nerds like myself it don't make sense but you get the picture) and I quickly jump back and use Night Slash, ready to defend my self, then the Steelix uses Rock Tomb and rocks fall from the sky trying to crush me, but with my decent reaction time I slice through the rock with my dark blades, then he uses Iron Tail, hitting me back as I use my dark blades to lower the damage, then he prepares to use Giga Impact, without hesitation, I use Aerial Ace and launch my self in the air as he lunges at me hitting the ground, "now's my chance!" I say to my self remembering that after Giga Impact you had to recharge.  Then I quickly start chucking endless Water Shurikens at the Steelix, doing a lot of damage, then he uses Dragon Breathe, hitting me and paralyzing me, "darn!" I yell, as I start to crawl toward the flag, with pain shooting from my side as I get launched 10ft away from the flag, meeting a rock as I smash into it, "gah!!" I yell feeling the deathly pain, as I look up I see the Steelix ready to use Rock Tomb, "no... it can't.. end like this..!" I tell myself as I struggle to get up, "No! I won't be proven guilty!" I shout as I feel energy surging through me, "What's this?! Seems Max is going overdrive!" The Nidoking says on the speaker, as I get surrounded by a veil of water, and get a giant shuriken on my back, "Get over here!!" I yell as I charge the Steelix, pulling my Water Shuriken apart and start slashing him with it, dealing a big amount of damage, knocking him out completely, as I charge for the flag, hearing a horn sound off as I touch it, "Max has finished the test!!" The Nidoking says as the crowd cheers, then all my strength is gone and the pain returns, and I blackout, hearing Red and Parker yelling at me as they run toward me....

At The Facility....

  "I feel his power! It has awakened! We must find him immediately! Before he grows to strong for even me! Go prepare our forces, we will leave at once!" Margaret says as she wakes from her sleep, then Jim and Pheonix come running through her door, "Yes mam'!" They say in unison, "and prepare the machine! If anything goes wrong, that will be our only hope!" Margaret says as she puts on a coat, then Jim and Pheonix look at each other, then a moment later they dash off..
