Chapter 1

Meeting Ender

The peasants bowed respectively as their most honorable queen waled down the corridor. There is one voice that shouts "All hail, Queen MsMisty!" The hall fills with cheers and loud applause as she turns around and bows. She is after all, the best Queen the kingdom has ever seen. Misty turns, and holds back a yawn. It's late out, and the Opening of The Portal ceremony was at the End of the week. Her friends Steve, and Rose were helping her with the planning. She was very grateful!

Sounds of doors slamming were quickly heard, and there is no doubt the cause that it's the small girls following along behind her. "Hey you, I'm going to boop you on the head!" a voice squeaks. It's Ender, Misty's little sister. Misty unlocks the door to her room and gestures to Ender to come inside. However, Ender doesn't notice and continued playing 'boop' with Dariki.

Misty allows some time to let the girls run around the hallway and play.

"Hey Ender" Misty chants softly. "I'm guessing you don't want story time?" she questions. This silences the irritating princess. Ender's eyes grow wide. "Story time?" Misty nods. "Yup!" Ender began to jump up and down with excitement. She waves a goodbye to Dariki, and sprints inside their dorm room. There's nothing better then a great story!

Misty puts her hand in the bath water for its temperature, and quickly pulls in out. Too hot! She adjusts the faucet for the warm water, and goes to find Ender. No surprise at all. She is standing next to the doorway holding a long rope. Misty follows the hope to a net above the bathroom door. She nearly jumped out of her skin. It was a real life bat!

Roaring with anger, Misty screams "Where did you get this?" Ender muffles a laugh, knowing she messed with her older sister. "Dariki" she says. Misty shakes her head in annoyed state. "Damn those humans" She looks down at Ender who has her tiny hands over her mouth.

"Ohhh, Misty said a potty word!" Ender chanted. Misty rolled her eyes, but Ender wasn't done though. She jumped onto the toilet, and began to dance around. "A potty word, a potty word! Misty said a potty word, oh yes she did!" Ender laughed so hard, that she successfully managed to slip and land in the bathtub with a splash!

After about ten minutes of washing up in the bath, Ender emerges wearing a fluffy purple robe, and her tiny bunny slippers. Misty had never actually seen one of the fluffy, white creatures before. She helped her pick out some pajamas, and reassured Ender that she would braid her golden-like hair.

Not long after, Misty pulled out a stool and told Ender to sit. It took more then ten minutes to braid Ender's hair to the very last strand. She had always refused to get it cut, and it was weighing down the little seven year old tremendously. Misty couldn't blame her for her reasoning though. There were very few people with blond hair, and the two sisters fit into that group just fine.

Ender snuggled up to Misty in her large water bed. Misty put an arm around her little sister. "So what book do you want to read?" Ender thought for a moment. "Can you tell me a story about the humans?" Misty loomed at Ender. "Sure." And so their story began.
