“From here on out, you are to be my maid” he said smirking at me. My whole world felt like it was spinning with those simple words. I mean I was gonna do the same thing to him… great minds think alike, I guess.

“What exactly does that entitle me to?” I asked confused. He leaned closer to me until his lips were parallel to my ear. I tensed up at his sudden closeness. Since when has he been this close to me, that I could actually even smell him? He didn’t smell that bad, I could get used to this. To him.

“Everything,” he whispered huskily. I shivered involuntarily. I heard him chuckle, get up and walk away. I could feel my face warm up as I realized I was still staring at him. I ignore my whole day and daydream through all of my classes. Imaging what the world would be like if I had a pet unicorn that would go on adventures with me. That day after school, Nathaly came over along with Logan to chill with Robbie and me. Nathaly and I were busy jumping to our hearts delight on my trampoline in the backyard, while Robbie and Logan were playing football. If you looked closely, not that I was, you could see Logan glance at me every so often. Everything was going great, that is until we heard it. It started as a door open and closed. Then we heard footsteps coming closer and closer. We all stopped what we were doing and just stared at the backdoor, waiting for the person to come and show himself/herself. The suspense was killing me as the sound of their footsteps got closer until I could see their silhouette on the door. When the door opened, you could practically hear a pin drop. I was the first one to react and scream.

“Mommy!!!” I yelled going over to her and hugging her as tight as I could. Soon everyone followed suit, even Nathaly and Logan. Well, they were practically family.

“Oh, I’ve missed my babies sooooo much” she squealed, squeezing Nathaly. When she let go, we all stood before her so that she could examine us. She pouted and looked around the room.

“I’m missing a baby,” she said looking all over the backyard, coming back empty-handed.

“But we’re all here Mommy” Nathaly said, pouting that we weren’t enough. Yea, even Nat calls her mommy. She’s not our mom, she’s our mommy. Even though my mommy hasn’t really know Logan or Nathaly for that long, we instantly became a family and we all love mommy. She came up to each of us and patted our heads while counting.

“But there’s usually five heads here, and I’m only counting four.” She pondered for a minute and finally it dawned on her.

“I know what's wrong. Where’s Sam?” she asked looking at all of us each showing a different expression. I probably looked heartbroken, Logan looked pissed off, Nathaly looked confused, and Robbie looked indifferent. She looked at all of us and sighed.

“He’s an asshole,” Logan said while grabbing my hand and giving it a squeeze that made my eyes grow big. Mommy didn’t even scold him on his choice of words. Her eyes grew large when she looked down at our intertwined hands, she nodded, and left giving me that ‘you better tell me later or else’ look.

“I better leave; my parents might get a heart attack if I'm not there when they come home from work.” Nathaly said walking away. Robbie was throwing the football to himself going back to where he and Logan were before.

“What time is it?” he asked absentmindly. I finally let go of Logan’s hand, which I didn’t even know I was still holding, and looked at my phone.

“Quarter till 6” I replay and scream. “Robbie!!!!!!!” I yelled going over there and slapping him repeatedly.

“You’re scheduled to work at 6 and the place is 30 minutes away. Not to mention that you have to shower and get ready ‘cause you stink,” I said wrinkling my nose, while still slapping him.
