The Truth Of What Really Happened

Do you remember when I told you guys that I’m a sleep hugger? Well, I went to sleep without a teddy bear and now I’m paying the consequences. When I woke up, I was hugging Nathaly’s legs. Talk about nasty. I quickly pushed them away, scrambling up to my feet shuddering in fear. I look around and see that Logan and Nathaly were still asleep. Perhaps they should...no...but what if…they do sort of look cute together. Ahhh, what am I saying? If something happened between them, I wouldn’t be able to handle my jealousy. I quietly tiptoed over to the kitchen but stopped when I heard voices. They sounded familiar but I just couldn’t pinpoint who they were.

“Now tell me what exactly happened from your point of view” I heard someone ask. I decided to be a ninja and eavesdrop for a bit. I cleverly hid in the corner allowing me to hear perfectly but blocking my view of everything.

“Well, it started off as a normal day, but this time I was sure I was gonna tell her my feelings. I realized how I felt about her the day she came over to my house after a failed attempt of me playing a song for Sky. Everything started off so innocent, but when I showed her what I was planning to do for Sky, that’s when I realized that in reality I just want to be able to do these things to Paige. I’m not entirely sure where Sky comes into this, I guess it was just a typical schoolboy crush, but she won’t ever return my feelings as Paige has. After I played the song for her and some embarrassing moments we went to the park and well…” they trailed off probably thinking back to what happened that day. That’s when my face got all red, knowing it was Sam in there talking about me. Then it dawned on me; that was the day my feelings towards him grew stronger than before.

It was that one day I stormed out of my house in just my pajamas because Sam took an embarrassing picture of me hugging my teddy bear, Kipper. He gave me his shirt to cover up and he played “Rhythm of Love” for me. Afterwards we went to the park to relax and just hang out…

I looked over at him; his eyes sparkled making them seem bluer. He was just wearing a simple band t-shirt with some athletic shorts. I looked down at my own attire; I was still wearing his shirt, which covered my green dinosaur short shorts. His shirt smelled like him and made me get butterflies in my tummy. We were walking over to the little river that’s in our park, where we spent all of our free time. The sun was right above our heads with the never-ending heat. I sat down near the edge getting rocks and trying to make them skip across the water, but failed horribly at it. Sam saw me and came next to me, his face showing a little smirk, as he got so closer to me I was unsure of what to do. He grabbed my hand and laid a rock in my palm, putting my fingers in the proper position to throw it.

“Just throw it like a Frisbee and keep it parallel to the river level,” he whispered in my ear. I threw it as he told me and watched as the rock skipped twice before breaking. I fist pumped at my achievement and gave Sammy my biggest toothiest grin I could muster. He looked away flustered and just bent down to get another rock to skip. Soon I started to get frustrated that my rocks would always break and stopped to glance over at him for a minute.

“Do you remember how we met?” I asked after a moment of silence. I saw him smirk making his eyes twinkle. He stood next to me still skipping rocks chuckling every once in awhile probably about a memory.

“How could I forget? It’s not every day that two random short girls run up to you asking if you can give them your Oreos. Then instead of saying thank you like a normal person, they both tackle you to the ground while laughing about how good of a pillow you’d make. Then the next day you both came up to me with a serious expression on and told me not to move, and when I least expected it you were both petting my hair saying that it was so soft.” He said chuckling. I was cracking up so much that my sides were starting to hurt. Nevertheless, laughing helps you get abs. Yup. Then I felt my face heat up as he came up next to me and hugged me. My head was being pushed against his chest, making my face heat up more.
