Chapter 10

...Avi made his way to the locker room at the end of his shift to pick up his mobile phone; he hated being in the hospital; now that Vikram and Rohan were both out of the hospital he was alone and had no one to communicate with. The interns all stayed away from him after what he had done with Dimple but he still chased after Ishika who he wanted by his side at all times.

He walked into the locker room and made his way to his locker; opening it and grabbing his mobile phone out of his bag he unlocked it and scrolled through his notifications when he heard someone giggling. He looked up and around to find out who it was but he didn't see anyone; he heard it again and realised it was coming from the dressing room. He walked closer to the curtain and listened closely.

"I love it when you call me Ishk..." he heard the girl say with another giggle.

"And I love it when you blush like this..."

He peeked through the curtain to see Ishika standing with her back against the wall and a man was facing her with his hands around her waist; they were way too close for his liking. He still had feelings for Ishika and seeing her in this situation made his blood boil. He clenched his hands into a tight fist as he saw the man moving his head closer to hers and she closed her eyes; "I love you Dev..." she whispered.

Avi had had enough and he barged into the dressing room fuming; hearing someone enter the couple sprang away from each other.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Avi shouted at Dev.

"What is it to you?" he replied in equal anger.

Avi stood in front of Dev frowning deeply; "She's my girl...I don't want to see you anywhere near her...do you get that?"

Before Dev could reply Ishika stood in between the two men looking angrily at Avi; "I am not your girl..." she shouted at him; "...there's nothing between us anymore...it was over a year ago and I don't want you anywhere near me..."

"Ishk you know that I love you...I've apologised so many times...please come back to me..." he begged her.

"Never...never again will I be yours..." she yelled; "...stay away from me..."

"But Ishk..."

"I told you don't ever call me that..." she fumed at him; "...the only person who has the right to call me that is Dev..." she held onto his hand and stood beside him; "...he is my boyfriend..."

Ishika stomped out of the dressing room with Dev beside her; they walked back into the locker room just in time to see the other interns making their way in.

"Hey guys..." Lauren called out to them; "...all okay?"

The three of them looked at Ishika and Dev sensing the tension in Ishika's expression; Avi walked out of the dressing room to see the others there and the couple still holding hands.

"Yes Lauren...everything is just perfect..." Ishika smiled; "...and I wanted you all to know...that me and Dev are together...we're a couple..."

"Oh..." Sid said in shock; "...seriously..."

"Yep...we are..." Dev replied with a big smile as he put his arm around Ishika's shoulder.

"Since when...?" Dimple asked smiling at them.

Ishika blushed knowing the Avi was watching her every move; "Since two weeks...but as of now it's official and there's nothing to hide..."

"That's great guys...congratulations..." Lauren said giving Ishika a hug.
