...Kabir and Naina decided to hold a party for their friends and family when baby Aarav had turned two months; they wanted this to be a special moment for their family to have all their dear ones close for sometime; it was eagerly awaited and Naina wanted everything to be perfect. She had just made Aarav ready into his party suit and had put him in his cot for a quick nap as she got ready for the party while Kabir looked over the preparations.

Sometime later the doorbell rang and Kabir opened the door for their first set of guests; Dadi, Shashank and Padma. He gave them a warm welcome as they entered with gifts for the new baby who they wanted to see eagerly.

"Where's my great grandson?" Dadi asked excitedly.

"He's here..." Naina called walking down the stairs wearing a beautiful navy blue evening gown and holding Aarav in her arms.

As she got to the bottom she handed the baby to Dadi who was so happy to see him. Shashank gave Naina a quick hug while Padma opened up one of the present boxes she had brought for Aarav and showed him his new rattle which he tried to grab; once it was in his hands he placed it straight it into his mouth and tried to get as much of it as he could.

Naina gestured for the house help to share drinks around as everyone had settled down and were busy fussing over Aarav. Shashank asked to hold him but Dadi didn't feel like giving him up just yet; after a lot of begging she finally gave him over to Shashank who smiled victoriously; "Finally...Aarav!" he called in a baby voice.

Suddenly Aarav started to wail; he squirmed in Shashank's arms trying to get away; Shashank was alarmed; "Hey baby...what happened...you don't like nana?" he asked sadly.

Everyone laughed at him and Padma walked over and took the baby from him; "Aarav likes nani..." she rocked him slowly in her arms and looked at Shashank; "...you need to get back into practice..."

"Mum's right dad..." Naina teased.

The doorbell rang once again; Naina excused herself and went to open the door to see Kajal, Sameer, Sonia and Puneet. She welcomed them in happily; "Hey everyone...I'm so glad you could all make it..."

"Of course...we couldn't miss it for anything that's why we arrived this evening and made our way straight for your party..." Puneet told her.

"Yes...and we couldn't wait any longer to see Aarav..." Sonia smiled giving Naina a hug; "...and the proud parents..."

"Come in he's right here with mum and dad..." she ushered them to the hall after giving Kajal and Sameer a quick hug.

Puneet, Sonia and Sameer went over to meet the others while Kajal and Naina stood talking by the hallway.

"So how are you...and how's motherhood going?" Kajal asked Naina for all the juicy details.

"I'm okay...I think I've finally got the hang of it...he's into a routine now and it's looking good...at times he can be a little demanding..." Naina sighed; "...but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...just looking at him brings a smile to my face and all my tiredness is washed away..."

"I bet..." Kajal smiled; "...and I'm so happy for you..."

"When do I get to hear some good news from you?" Naina winked at her teasingly.

Kajal blushed; "We've just been through our first anniversary..." then she rolled her eyes; "...our twelfth fight and counting...so let's see..."

"Are you serious?" Naina asked her giggling; she nodded in reply; "...let me guess...they were all because of him!"
