~*5 Years Later*~

Sanjeevani. Mumbai

..."Dr. Naina, Dr. Disha and Dr. Ricky please report to the Dr. Thappar's office immediately..." the overhead speaker announced.

Naina, Disha and Ricky reached the office at the same time. They looked at each other smiling knowingly, Ricky knocked on the door and they entered.

"Come in...please sit down doctors..." Kabir said professionally.

They all sat down and waited for him to speak.

"As you all know we have been called on a very important top secret assignment...the reason I have called you all here is to inform you of the arrangements...we will meet at Gupta House tomorrow morning six am sharp...we will leave from there...okay?"

Disha and Ricky shook their heads; "Yes Dr. Thappar..."

"And make sure this is kept a secret...we can't let it slip..." he said and they nodded again; "...you may leave now..."

Ricky and Disha got up and left silently but Naina waited for a bit.

"Don't you think you're taking this a step too far?" she eyed him curiously.

"Nope..." he replied.

"But"

"How's your day been?" Kabir asked cutting her sentence off as he stood up and walking around the desk towards her.

"Good..." she blushed as he hugged her.

"Is that it?" he asked playing with her hair; "...Just good?"

"Kabir..." just as she was going to say something her pager beeped.

Kabir groaned and dropped his head onto her shoulder; she smiled and checked her pager; "Got to go...emergency..."

"You can go in a minute..." he said holding onto her.

"Dr. Kabir Thappar..." she said moving him from away with a cheeky smile; "...now you're head of the hospital...and you should know that emergency means...emergency..." walking backwards looking at him.

"Fine...I'll see you later..." he winked at her.

"Bye..." she smiled at him before leaving the office...

Shimla...

... "Khushi?"

Kajal walked out of the house and onto the front porch to see her three year old daughter sitting on the swing, the same swing she sat on many years before, playing with her doll and singing to herself.

"Khushi!" she called; "Why are you sitting here?"

Walking through the garden towards the swing, she sat down next to her daughter and gave her a hug.

"Mamma...I'm playing with angel..." she replied looking down at the doll; "...she said she wants to get her hair done...so I'm combing it...it looks pretty...haina mamma?" she asked looking up at her mother.

Kajal smiled at her daughter and nodded her head; she then looked up to see her mother walking towards them.

"Aww...how sweet...mum and daughter swinging together..." Sonia smiled at them.

"Mama...remember we use to sit like this on the swing..." Kajal said looking up at Sonia who stood by the frame.

"Really Mamma?" Khushi asked excitedly; "...Did you play with a dolly too?"

Kajal nodded; "I did...but I use to wait for a real dolly to come and play..."

Sonia laughed as Khushi opened her eyes wide in surprise; "A real dolly?"

"My best friend...she was like a real Barbie doll...your Naina Maasi..." Kajal said.

"Naina Maasi!" Khushi was surprised to hear this.

"Yes my darling..." Kajal said giving her a side hug; "...she was my best friend and your papa's too..."

"Someone called me?"

They all looked up and saw Sameer standing there with a big smile plastered on his face.

"Papa!" Khushi jumped down from the swing and ran towards him.

He picked her up holding her high in the air then brought her down to his chest and hugged her tightly.

"How is my little angel?" he asked tickling her tummy.

"Very good papa..." she giggled.

Kajal smiled at the two most important people in her life, her world...they meant everything to her and she tried very hard to make them the best family in the world...
