Hey everyone...thanks for all your lovely comments...
...A few days went by with Ayesha giving Guru the silent treatment for not telling her that he was going to speak to her parents about them and for all the teasing she was put through from her family. Two days passed with him taking it humorously but then he felt as though he couldn't stay away from her any longer.
It was a Thursday evening when he held her hand and took her to his car.
"Guru I don't want to go anywhere with you..." she said in annoyance.
He ignored her and helped her into the car before walking around to the other side; he got in and started up the car; she tried to get out but he locked the door and drove on without looking at her.
After half an hour; thanks to the traffic, they arrived at his house and he got out of the car then opened the door for her; she frowned at him but he returned it with his most adorable dimple smile.
Once they were inside the house Ayesha slumped herself down on the sofa while Guru went into the kitchen coming back out moments later with a glass of cold water for her.
"Here you go..." he smiled as he handed the glass to her.
Her frown deepened but she took the glass and drank the water in three big gulps; her anger had washed away.
"Now can we talk..." he asked and she nodded; "...good...okay...first of all you tell me what's bothering you..."
"Gru..." she looked into his eyes still slightly annoyed; "...how could you go and speak to mum and dad without telling me?"
"I wanted to make it a surprise..." he answered.
"But do you know how much they teased me?" she complained like a small child.
"I'm sorry about that but it really was their idea...Puneet Uncle's idea and they all agreed...I had no say...they told me not to mention it to you..." he shrugged apologetically.
"You could have informed me about it..." she pouted.
He smiled at her expression; "I didn't get a chance...you were busy with your surgery and you left the hospital right after it..."
"Okay fine..." she pouted again and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Anything else?" he asked; she shook her head but did not look at him; "...Give me a minute...I'll just go and freshen up..." he told her and she nodded picking up the television remote.
He grinned and went to his room. After fifteen minutes he came back out ending a phone call then walked over to her and turned off the TV.
"Gru...I was watching that..." she moaned.
"I'm sure it was not that interesting..." he grinned; "...come I'm hungry..."
Guru held her hand and pulled her up; she went on complaining not caring where he was taking her; they walked up the stairs to the first floor and then to the terrace but she continued with her rambling.
They walked out onto the terrace and she looked at him in confusion realising where they were; "Gru what?" she could not complete her sentence as her eyes scanned the terrace which was decorated with fairy lights, rose petals, candles, a table in the middle with a strawberry vanilla cake and a tiny velvet box.
Ayesha looked back at Guru who was watching her; she was speechless. He held onto her hand gently and walked her to the table; he picked up the tiny velvet box and slowly pulled it open to reveal an elegant platinum ring which featured a Princess Cut diamond that glistened irresistibly. He took it out of the box and held it in his hand; slowly turning to face Ayesha he went down on one knee.
