Chapter 14 Dead End

(Y/n)'s POV

"I can't believe it...it is you...Dad." I was so relieved to see that the man with the scar wasn't my father.

"(Y/n)...I'm sorry I left you and your mother. I planned on coming back, but I got caught up with work." My father responded.

"Caught up with work, so you left your family?! That's bullshit! Why didn't you let us know you were still alive, everyone thought you were dead! While you were caught up with "work" I got sent to jail, and mom went crazy! We were barely surviving, we had to leech off of others and steal just to put bread on the table!" I ranted.

"You don't understand (y/n), I did this all because I love you and your mother."

"Don't understand?! Tell me what I don't understand dad!" I yelled.

"It's too complicated (y/n), you wouldn't understand. The thing about me being murdered was all a cover up. But the man I'm working with promised to pay me a fortune!"

"Forget the money! Who is this man, is he a man with a scar on his neck?"

"Yes, do you know him?"

"He put my boyfriend Jyugo here in these shackles that he believes only the man with the scar can remove. Do you know where he is?"

"I can't tell you (y/n), it was a part of the contact I signed that I can't reveal his location." He replied.

"Hmph, this is pointless. Jyugo, let's go before the cops arrive." I said as I walked out the door.

"Take care of my daughter young man; she can be rash at times." My father said to Jyugo.

"Will do."

We escaped out of Area 51, but a fleet of police officers awaited us outside. I instinctively clung onto Jyugo who gently stroked my hair. We were taken into custody, handcuffed, placed on a plane that held criminals captive, and it flew us back to Nanba prison. During our long ride back to Nanba prison, I was quiet. I was happy that my father was alive and that I got to see him again, but at the same time, I'm mad at him for what he did. The fact that he's also working with the man with the scar is another reason why I'm upset with my father.

"Jyugo, I'm sorry." I apologized breaking the silence.

"For what?"

"For this whole thing. I took you with me and we didn't even find the man with the scar, it was all a waste of time."

"That's not true (y/n). First of all, I was the one who wanted to come with you and I don't regret it. I, for the first time felt the emotion of love, and I made the best decision of my life which was to accept your feelings you had for me. Also, it wasn't a waste; you found out that your father wasn't murdered."

"Yeah, but I don't even like my father anymore, not after what he did."

"Don't let this ruin your relationship between you and your father, your blessed to have known your father personally. But your father said he had a reason, so I'm sure he'll tell you in time."

"I guess you're right, but I'm still mad inside. How could someone frame their death like that?! Doesn't he see that me and my mother were devastated by this?!" I protested.

Jyugo didn't respond; instead he kissed me.

"J-jyugo?"

"Relax (y/n)."

Ever since meeting Jyugo, I've changed. It's strange because I thought I would be the one who would change him and help him discover who he is, and yet I didn't. However, I did help him discover what love is, so I'm glad I at least did that.

"You know Jyugo, you may not have been able to unlock your shackles, but you were able to unlock my heart."

The plane landed and we were put back in building 13 cell 13. I must say I am glad to be back.
