the power of love

The path of Love is not always easy

But have hope and do not despair

For with love your heart may be torn open

But when you heart is open there is room

For the true love of God to be there

This love will lift up when you are broken

And when you are down on your knees

You might just ask for help and find 

That gift of the power of love inside 

to help you when you are down

And you can forgive the hurt that has come to you

You can forgive the mistakes you made

and forgive all the hard things you had to do in life

and you can put aside your pride

For you are never forsaken

And if you are open and ask for help

You will not be denied

For the power love that can teach you

To believe in the love you are inside 

And if you ask you can be healed

And in time i believe that you will find

For the greatest power is in the love inside you

and it is a blessing that we all should receive

For you are the living love of God

And that love can set you free

So celebrate this day of Love

By forgiving any hurt in your heart

And believe once again that love is worthwhile

and dedicate this day to make a new start

And maybe get your self a special gift or a card

to recognize the love that you are

there in your heart of hearts

And make it a point to share your love

With the ones who are sad and have been torn apart

For there is a flame that burns in your soul

That is lit when you let love be in control

and take a moment to thank those you loved

and realize that love can overcome fear

and when you are able to love yourself

you can love others and find the reason that you are here
