The Spirit is Willing

The Spirit is willing and the heart cries for Love

And still there is a fear to trust because,

The world has taken it’s toll, as it will

When all the misplaced offering of your soul

paid the price and the bills.

But the spirit still calls you

And there is that flickering flame

That burns through the darkness

And knows you by name.

And as you draw close and search for the source

You are faced with what you created in life

With all the blessings and the refuse of course.

And so you call upon the heart, once again,

To give you courage and the strength

To be true to the end

And there is a light still burning

 in the depth of your soul,

And there is a belief in the journey

That will still lead you home.

For the spirit is willing

And it’s still waiting for you

And the heart still is yearning

For  love to be renewed.

So you light the lantern

And you prepare the way,

To let the heart guide you

With love, come what may.

For the spirit is willing

And the soul is still strong

And you know you can trust in God’s

Power and grace to lead you on.
