Hold it all up

To be blessed by the one

That brought you here

And will take you back when it’s done

All these pages written through time

All these whispered words to rhyme

All that it takes to get to you

Is All you can give until it’s through

Hear the angel wings

As she flies toward home

And you watch her go

And are left alone

And Here are the remains

That were left to use

Trying to capture the cliff notes

And clues

And all that’s left are these offerings

The sweet promise you hoped

 would be more lasting

What you do with the words

and what you choose to use

are the gifts placed on the alter
