Redemption

Somewhere here is redemption

And the deal that we have made,

A promise that is our save card

To use when we need to escape.

Or perhaps, it comes when what we see

Is brought for us to face,

And we have lost our hope of innocence

And pray for forgiveness to find God’s grace.

There’s so much we have to do here,

And  how we’ve come to find

The answers to our questions

And what is left is a prayer and an open mind.

How often can we call out,

To bring us to back to the light

How deep to we have to go now

To discover our hearts secrets belong to humankind.

Somewhere in my soul

Is a memory of a promise that was made

It whispers to me to call on redemption

For it’s  our saving grace.

And all that we have done is then seen

As some dream and the illusions we made

But once we’ve called our save card

It’s so hard to go back to the games we played.

And here in the promise given

Is the light that is so sublime

It’s the power of the Redemption

in God’s love that restores us just in time.
