A girl with a brown ponytail stood in the hall. She wore a lab coat, but underneath was a hoodie with the name of the book series that transformed her. The trilogy that was the very reason she was here today. Divergent. But it wasn't really Divergent. It was the boy in Divergent.
The others told her it was hopeless, that he wasn't real, and even if he was, he would never love her. That was why the girl had spent so many years trying to make him real. Now, she could finally feel his tattooed back, kiss his soft lips, and make him love her. She only hoped he could forget Beatrice Prior, and love this strange girl that would appear in front of him.
The girl pulled a switch, and the long, sleek, white, fridge-shaped machine made a noise that sounded like a printer. Slowly, the boy appeared. My whole life, I have been alone, thought the girl. Not anymore. The boy was now resting in the machine. It had worked. Was he alive? The girl hoped so.
The boy fluttered his eyelids as he woke up. "Who are you?" he asked. "Who are you?" the girl responded, silently adding to herself, I think I already know. "My name," said the boy, "Is Four." "No," sighed the girl, shaking her head. "I know more about you then you think. Like that you have only four fears. Like your real name." "Fine," Four hesitated. "Four is not my true name. My name is Tobias. Tobias Eaton."
