Six months later, Brenda and Tobias were curled up with the kids on the couch of their apartment. "Are you excited for our wedding next week?" asked Tobias. "Of course," giggled Brenda. "I've been dreaming for this day since Veronica Roth herself gave me a signed copy of her book. If I said I wasn't excited, I'd be lying." Tobias straightened himself in his seat. "Veronica Roth gave you a signed copy of Divergent?" "Yup," replied Brenda. "The author, of course. Our sweet little girl doesn't know how to write yet." "Let's keep it that way," agreed Tobias. "I don't want her to destroy a fictional universe or anything. I've lost a lot of friends thanks to one Veronica." "You'll never lose me," Brenda promised, kissing Tobias on the cheek. They leaned in close to each other, prepared to lock lips, and then Uriah started wailing. "Dang it, Uriah!" grumbled Brenda. "I was just about to kiss Tobias, and you had to poop your diaper now?" She picked him up, changed his diaper, and tucked him in for his nap. "That's better," she sighed, leaning back into Tobias. She placed his lips on his, and they tasted of chocolate cake. Just one more week, Brenda thought. Soon I will be Mrs. Eaton.
